It would be a little ironic if more people can finally store their entire iTunes music library locally on their iPhone, only to find they can't use their existing headphones to listen to any of it.
What Apple needs to do is give me some more iCloud storage for free.
Indeed. I think we're all entitled to more iCloud storage for free. I would think 50 GB should be the minimum. Well. Why not make it 100 GB. Yeah, that's a good starting point. While we're at it, I also think I'm entitled to iPhone docks. For free, of course. I think cases and covers should be free too considering how fragile and bendable Apple products are. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure why we have to pay anything for Apple products. Considering how rich they are, I think they can afford to give me some of their wares for free. Paying a dollar a month for 50 GB is just highway robbery. And Tim Cook is the one holding the pistol.
Steve was notoriously greedy yet lived like a bum. He cheated Woz out of money early on by lying to him. He said A LOT of things that were nothing more than fancy talk (which he was a master at). At least Tim is giving stock dividends and being much more open with charities, etc. Steve was brilliant but frugal and stubborn as all hell.I guess it'll be better for their bottom line, too.

If Apple raise BOTH base storage AND price, then it's time to say good bye to Apple hardware.
Time to end such insane profit margin.
We need to do more with less.
Depends on what carrier you use and where you travel to. I use Verizon and they have TravelPass which allows me to use my phone in other countries for $10 per day. I'd say that's reasonably priced.Cellular Data roaming is expensive. Data roaming maybe cheap in Europe, but other locations remains way too expensive unless free WIFI is everywhere, which it isn't.
I live where it rains a lot, it would be nice to use my phone when it's raining and not care that it's getting wet. Just because you can't see the need for something doesn't mean there aren't others who could use it.No current headphone jack, no newer iPhones for my family and me.
Also, this fascination with water-proof phones - why; more important how?
The microphone and the speaker need open access to the air to be able to use the device as a phone! If people are so desperate to throw their iPhones into a lake and dive after it, they can use one of those bulky cases available already for about 4+ years.
So my question is, what would be a better solution? Having more storage in the phone is great but if you loose your phone during travel you have no backup. And a external drive has the same problem of being able to be lost or stolen. I've traveled to Kazakhstan a few times and the internet their sucks, but at night it would sync all my pictures and everything taken that day.Not at all. Not everyplace as great connectivity, not to mention the expense in having a bid data plan, or when you're in the air. Hotel wifi is spotty at best, airport wifi is too saturated, the more I travel the less i understand the attractiveness of cloud storage except to backup in case of loss.
That's never going to happen in our lifetime.Apple just needs to start allowing for MicroSD expandable storage & let the user decide how much total storage he or she wants.
I agree 20 GB should be the sweet spot. I however just given up and got the 50 GB option. I don't really notice that I paying $1 a month.Barely scratched the surface of my 64 GB 6s. What Apple needs to do is give me some more iCloud storage for free. I only have 2 GBs remaining.
I'm sure some people still like to load up their phones with hundreds of albums like we did back in the iPod classic days. Also, lots of people don't back up their photos so they just keep all of them on their phone forever. Other than these two circumstances, I don't understand why people need it though. Maybe they're going on 3 month long vacations and are using their phone as their only camera... and they really like to record video... and they take 50 retakes of every shot and keep every single photo and video that they take?Does anyone even get close to using up 256 GB's on a phone...? (4K recording aside obviously)

They did it with the iPadNot really.
In Europe, Russia and other places prices rose dramatically due to currency. Apple is not going to push prices up further.
