I'll get my fix by playing with it thoroughly for an hour at the Apple store then stick with my 6s.
3G -> 3GS -> 4 -> 4S -> 5 -> 5S -> 6 -> 6S -> 7 -> 8???
Come on people, there's no reason to believe Apple will break the cycle. We're getting a 7S this year, and the 8 is coming next year.
I've thought about that too (have an SE myself), but it would probably reduce the battery capacity rather significantly. I think I'd rather them keep the same form factor (and big battery volume of the SE) and give us even larger battery capacity (that increases over time in the volume) so we can enhance further the already great battery life the SE has. JMHO....
Other rumored features for this year's iPhone lineup, some of which may be exclusive to the high-end model, include the removal of the Home button, iris or facial recognition, 3D camera features, improved IP68-rated water resistance, increased storage space, and new Taptic Engine and 3D Touch modules.
So it's like an S7 Edge, only much much later.
Why should OLED cost $1000? Samsung is putting OLED in mid tier phones.
This. In addition, if apple does release an all glass front and rear iPhone, I will hold off buying and let other folks experiment and post their results concerning breakage.It doesn't make any sense to release a iPhone 7s and an iPhone 8 at the same time. The latest iPhone series is always seen as the most premium models you can buy. If you give the consumer the impression that a brand new 7s is already a generation behind the new (and vastly more expensive) 8, then that's damaging the brand.
I honestly expect to see an all-new iPhone, in two sizes, maybe even three (4.7 & 5.5 and perhaps a 5.8 no bezel OLED higher-end option). Or just two very premium OLED 4.7 & 5.5 options.
They would not sell at that price. Let alone $1000usd (I'm in Australia and my jet black iPhone cost $1229)I definitely prefer Scenario A. Create an amazing new ultra premium iPhone with a stunning new design, incredible new technologies, and just make it as great as you can and charge whatever you need to make it profitable. I'd pay $2,000 for a truly ultra premium iPhone.
I hope they go with "scenario B"
But seriously I bet there won't be a third iPhone, there will be only two sizes, 5" (with existing 4.7" form size) and 5.8" (with the existing 5.5" form size)... And both will have the same feature, except the big one, as usual, will feature something special.
This is the big anniversary year though. If they were going to change it up, this would be the year to do it.3G -> 3GS -> 4 -> 4S -> 5 -> 5S -> 6 -> 6S -> 7 -> 8???

True! Picking my first iPhone (5) was the best experience everRemember when you just bought an iPhone and could pick what capacity the memory was? Those were the days!
Everything is a pattern until the pattern stops.3G -> 3GS -> 4 -> 4S -> 5 -> 5S -> 6 -> 6S -> 7 -> 8???

I had an SE, just upgraded to a 7 (4.7") and the battery destroys itTrue battery is so far fantastic on my SE. Maybe with the A10 or A11 a smaller battery could be ok. Actually even better would be a 5" phone with the same outside dimensions meaning no bezels. A larger screen would be appreciated as long as the outside dimensions stay small(er).
