I remember this news well a few years ago but the face mapping on that is bad. Almost Mass:Andromeda BAD. The facial expressions don't match realistically but only the mouth, head movement and eye tracking. If this is what Apple's using for face emojis, that's embarassing. It'll be even more cringingly bad if they demo it on stage and the face mapping stays exactly as this video without any improvement.

I suspect Craig will be demoing this because he's probably the only one who could pull it off. The others? Hell no.
 
Hmmm. Is its use completely restricted to the iPhone 8?
How will you share your smug superiority to lesser phones if they can't display your awesomeness?
 
Wow, that camera is incredible if it can accurately detect all of those things simultaneously in high detail. Face ID might actually be better than touch

So apple shouldn't design a phone that caters to all age groups and not make the iphone fun and playful? I find nothing wrong with the concepts being presented in these leaks.

The 8 will not only outsell the 7s and will increase the ASP.

Kind of like phones were invented to talk to people but now many people only use their phones to text so now phones will speak those texts to you so you don't have to read them.
 
I must be getting old. I don't get it with this emoji mania...who gives a ****?

Okay this is one of those leaks that I would have been kinda excited about if I saw it in the announcement for its novelty.

The function is communication, not talking. Talking was just the by product of the lack of options.

You know what I'd like? If newer iPhones sent images of emojis instead of unknown characters that end up as squares and alien faces on my old iPhone.
