Facial recognition instead of touchID. Lols. You can have them. A few YouTube videos of people looking like idiots trying to log into their phones and probably will not be flying off the shelves.
I can only guess, that there better be something compelling in the next iPhone model to spend that kind of money... at least for me.

I nominate you. I feel like your incredible vision and years of technology and engineering experience will serve Apple well.Maybe the supply chain master, Tim, should step down as CEO and go back to doing what he did well. Then we could get somebody with vision back in charge.

As I have posted before on the forum in the past it's is worth repeating. The entire screen will be a touch ID sensor. I have seen it. It may also explain the more complex screen process. This would allow the capability to sense two or more finger prints to unlock.
The 7 and 6s launches went very smoothly actually. It wasn't that hard to get a these phones. The last time it was cluster**** was with the 6 (especially the 6 Plus).
I have to say when I hear "manufacturing issues" I get a little concerned about the quality of the product. To put it another way, if they're having problems making the phone, then that does not bode well (at least in my mind) for something that will be defect free
'Revolutionary new Apple Phone. Coming December.'
Everyone waiting for the new one buys a 7s because they care bare to wait for anything, and would rather buy a device they didn't want - as I see on this forum every year.
So it'll be like the Pixel last year.
Again, online orders ship dates for the OLED model will slip to "Jan 2018" within a handful of minutes.
You thought Ear Pods have been tough to come buy? Brace yourselves.
Nobody has claimed the "8, whatever" is going to be the best. It's a different product range with a certain feature set. If that feature set doesn't match your needs (i.e. no touch ID) then pick a product that Apple are going to sell that does include it (iphone 7s/7s+)I'm still really bummed about apple abandoning Touch ID. It seems like the most "radical" iPhone ever will come with a least one compromise. Not good for a phone that suppose to be the best.
Except people will actually buy this phone
The iPhone 8 was big on my radar because i was hoping to shake it up from the norm. But as the rumours come out, there's a couple strikes against it.
Strike 1: no headphone jack. We know Apple's not likely going to back off the headphone jack issue.
Strike 2: Priced out of reason-ability (rumoured) $1500+ Canadian for the phone is beyond ludicrous.
Strike 3: No fingerprint sensor (Rumoured) - Work requires me to have a extremely complex phone password. I'm not typing in a 8 random digit password every-time I want to use my phone. Fingerprint sensor (or something equal in ease of use) is a must.
Problem is there has never been an iPhone that has sold less than the previous model. People don't care about features. Apple have hit on their Big Mac. Whatever the fast food market is McDonalds will always sell a Big Mac because people want a Big Mac. Whatever the smart-phone market is Apple will always sell an iPhone because people will always want an iPhone .No TouchID....no thanks. This seems like a removal too far...
