Of course it's greed. That's why I don't use any Apple product. I'm not a sheep. They have the gall to differentiate their product line by good, better, best. That's greed, pure and simple. I don't want to pay extra money for best. And I don't think Apple should force me to pay extra for extra features. In fact, I don't like how they force me to do anything. Tim Cook and Jony Ive need to go. I know I could run the company better than those two bozos.
lol why are you here?

The plus has always had a better screen, better camera and better battery. The fact you want a small phone to have the same features at a cheaper price screams entitled and it's not going to happen for you.

you are still getting OIS most likely and you are getting a better lens. You are upset the more expensive phone gets the best features, which means what again? Apple is greedy?
You literally just created an account to call me out? smh

Some people like a smaller screen for many reasons.

And one of the gold standards in supply chain reporting, IHS:

http://blog.ihs.com/amoled-is-becom...y-business,-especially-the-smartphone-segment

"The supply of AMOLED displays is a growing concern. The key to producing an AMOLED display is not only the controllability of the equipment, but also process know-how. Each display maker develops its own specific know-how because many details in the AMOLED process are not standardized, unlike with TFT LCDs. This hampers newcomers from rapidly ramping up AMOLED panel capacity. With Apple possibly jumping into the OLED mix and new display suppliers still needing time to ramp up capacity, OLED panel supply might be very tight in the next few years"

Whats that got to do with Apple??? It doesn't make anything itself in the iPhone, it will get LG or Samsung to make its displays like always and the last time I checked Samsung were the fathers of phone OLEDs. Sharp also makes them I believe and Faxcon own ps them now so again the statement above isn't going to affect Apple. That statement is incredibly confusing as it talks about display newcomers, none of Apples suppliers are display new comers.

I hear that the iPhone 11, in 2020, will be way better than the iPhone 8 in 2017. So if you are holding off for the iPhone 8, save your money and buy the iPhone 11.

Come to think of it, the iPhone 15 will be EVEN BETTER than the iPhone 11, so wait until 2024!

Oh, but the iPhone 15 will be a dog compared to the iPhone 18 in 2027! It will be a special 20th anniversary iPhone with 2TB of internal storage, and an 80MP camera with a 20X optical zoom lens, all in a phone the size of your finger nail!

Or better still... :p

In terms of battery yes but otherwise? See the galaxy S7 and S7 edgeother than the battery they are similar.
Either the smaller device tends to overheat (or has to throttle more often), as the smaller housing offers a less efficient cooling. Or the bigger device does not perform up to what would be possible there - but then I'd not consider it a true flagship product, but rather a performance-crippled wannabe.

You could argue whether the differences would be notable during everyday "normal" use (probably not, except under that special conditions every blue moon). But when having two different housing sizes, you have to make a compromise somewhere.

Apple tried it with the iPad Air / mini combo, but had to reduce CPU clock in the mini by 100MHz (iirc). And due to price points, the smaller device had a significantly worse screen.
