I'm on the iPhone Upgrade Program. My iPhone 7 128GB is $749. This one is rumored to be $999. This will make my bill go up $10.42/mo, which isn't bad, especially since I recently switched to T-Mobile from Verizon and I'm saving $88/mo. To be priced that high, it better have some pretty incredible new features. I'd likely pay that price just to get a larger display and dual cameras in a form factor similar to my 4.7" iPhone 7.
OLED seems like a sure thing, so that should help battery life and image contrast. I hope the color accuracy is as good as the iPhone 7, which typically leads in that metric. I might be tempted to not upgrade if there is Touch ID on the back and no other way to authenticate from the front. Even so, rear Touch ID is ugly and off-putting. If they do wireless charging, I hope it's a new implementation and not just a power mat. But even fast charging would be a welcome improvement, as long as it doesn't adversely affect the battery life over time. It would also be nice if the camera was improved in other ways, such as sensitivity to light and dynamic range, while adding features such as 4K60 and even faster fps for even slower motion playback, such as 1080p240 and 720p480.
