You realise that 3 GB on iPhone is similar to 6 GB on Android with garbage collection, due to the extra memory needed for the GC. But, what website requires 4 GB of RAM, that sounds strange.I have a 7 plus and 3gb of ram is nice, but I often find myself switching to a laptop because my phone can't handle certain websites. I think 4gb of ram would've been better, most phones have it.
I am wondering how cases will sufficiently attach if the display is edge-to-edge. Even more broken screens incoming.
LOL!
I sold my DSLR a couple years ago and replaced it with "bridge" camera and couldn't be happier. It does all I need it to do (and more) and I saved thousands. In my estimate the only people who really need DSLRs are some professionals and for everyone else it's just a dingus waving contest. I also have a 6 Plus and it's the camera I use the most because it's always with me.
But here's the deal: if I'm going to pay a premium price for a phone then I a want competitive camera. Not an "average" camera or a "good enough" camera (relative to other smartphones, of course). The problem is when Apple charges $800 yet image quality is on par with 2 year old used Samsung Galaxys you can find on ebay.

You mean the premium price is because the iPhone can run stock quote apps better than the competition? lol.

They put the iPhone 7 at 32, 128 and 256 sizes - and at the same price points that the 6s were at 16, 64 and 128.
I'm still on the 6. Apple has fully killed my desire to upgrade every year or two anymore. Now they're just "meh". Another phone.
If it's 256 at the 128 price hooray. If it's Apple trying to put the squeeze on customers it's really shameful.
It is not an apple problem, it is the nature of the phone market. Phones have finally peaked.
It better be much more revolutionary than that…
I'm laughing at all these people ready to open their wallets for whatever absurd price Apple pick out of the air for this fabled device - which will be a let down, money grabbing scheme anyway. People need to become better, wiser consumers. Stop justifying Apple's s**t.
Sorry, but if you're talking about a device I have next to me 24 hours a day, which I use constantly for countless purposes-- it matters to me when it has a better design, a better display, enhanced security, and any features that make it more pleasant or fun to use. For me this is easily worth a premium price.
it's like 1,000 for the 256GB not 64GBHahahaha over $1000 plus and only 64GB! Apple truly knows no bounds
When it comes to price gouging if it turns out to be true!
Yes and your plan will go up in price. Significantly.
That wasn't my point. I apologize for hurting your feelings.Awwww, 3D laser facial recognition, wireless charging, new likely gorgeous steel/glass bezel-less design, and a fingerprint scanner embedded into an OLED display are not "revolutionary" enough for you? Not sure you remember when it was exciting that you could put photos on your iPod.
I'm starting to wonder if the highest end model will be upwards of $1500. And I'm also starting to wonder if I'll just give Apple the finger, keep my money, and move on if it is.
A $1500 phone would be insane, even for Apple.
it suggests rumored 3D facial recognition capabilities could supplement rather than fully replace Touch ID"
Because fanboys were saying it was enough on the 6s when it clearly wasn't.This was almost 3 years ago, iphone 6 /6+ were the last iphones with 1gb. Software an apps have become more complicated since than. Why always these stabs from the past?
I find it hard to believe that Apple will literally deliver on everything the rumor-mill has come up with.
New Sizes
Edge to edge display
no home button
3D camera
OLED
3GB of RAM
new overall design
Just seems like only half of this stuff is possible YoY for innovation's sake. If they do all of this stuff, what will next year's iPhone get?
