Oh that's right, my mistake, I totally forgot about the almost definite switch to glass, which is much welcomed
I want this one:

Any explanation as to why there are a lot of iPhone rumors when we are months out from a new one, especially since legit leaks appear to roll around summer-fall right up when the phone is announced.

Also, these rumors appear to go in several different directions.

Apple has got to move those cameras to the top center of the rear, that placement is so un-Apple design. For people complaining about a DFU reset, Apple can have the power, volume up and down used for this function.

Maybe Apple will announce it during WWDC and released a month or two later.

What is truly shocking to me is that people will believe Apple should be charging a ridiculous price for this "new hardware." It was different back when Apple had the cutting edge hardware. There was a reason for that premium price. But today? Lol, yeah sure.
Its about the having the best phone, that means software and hardware.
With Apple cleaning up 94% of phone profits, the market agrees.
I'm with them :)

Trying to confuse SAMESong :)

So if you want a big phone, you are stuck with a 4 year old design? How is that good?

So wait... the plus crowd likes the plus model because of the physical size of the device? Not because of the bigger screen? If these rumors pan out, you'll be able to get the bigger screen, on a smaller frame. People I've met with plus model iPhones have always said they like the screen size, not the physical size of the device.

The fingerprint sensor is here to stay. Apple Pay would be a nightmare with eyeball or face scanning.
Yep.. this one. If they can figure out the camera behind the screen maybe touchid is possible too? Or maybe they'll stick the sensor the back of the phone for Apple Pay. But then that makes unocking very hard... hmm

Is it too late for Samsung to add this to the S8?
I know it will have deep press/peek and pop or whatever it's called, ...but I wonder if they can rush it to market before Apple's boring and expensive new iPhone comes out.

If true, a bit sad there won't be a successor to the Plus. Would love an edge to edge 6.5" screen (similar size to current Plus).

What about iPhone 8+ with a 6.8" screen?

I'm serious, I'm already used to carrying the 7+. Imagine the massive screen and unbelievable battery life you would get!

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
This or next years iPhone will have a TouchBar on the bottom just like MBP!

It will serve as the dock, house the Home button and TouchID, it will dynamically change to show unique icons for each app, possibly will house the back button from now on, etc..

Geez, spending more than a grand on a phone (if the rumors are true) - that is nuts!

I doubt Samsung wants to 'Rush' anything to the market after the last issue.

You do realize the S8 will be released in two months? Which is likely in production. Phone manufacturers have these phones completed in terms of design months ahead before finalizing details. The S8 prototype was likely in Samsungs hands last year long before it was even close to production. Changes in hardware at this point would be almost impossible for the amount of units they produce on a mass scale when you're configuring a matter of eight weeks.

home button better be tactile (and not just vibrations). or else this is going to be a big design fail.

I love the static button on my iPhone. I don't understand why people hate it so much. After awhile I forget that it's static button because it just sounds/feels like the old button.

So that touch are is for buttons like htc etc or is like on macbook pro ,a touchbar area? Where you have a lot of alternatives/customization?
what about that 2800x1242 resolution?? makes part of this rumour or not?

I love the idea but I'd have to see it first. I'm an iPhone plus kind of guy. The screen size of 5.15 vs 5.5 isn't a huge difference. I wish they used the iPhone Plus for the OLED and get something closer to 6 inch screen. That's just me.

Bring back the sharp, squareness of the iPhone 4!

I surely hope not.

Am I the only one who is really freaked out by this facial recognition rumour? So, all anyone has to do to unlock my iPhone is point it in my face? Or worse a photo of me? Not to go to much down this law road but for instance you get arrested and they want to search your iPhone - they just hold it in front of your face and it unlocks? THAT is scary!! Give me finger or iris backed up by passcode any day. There must be some sort of work around to this, like finger scan AND face on camera? I dunno.. This sounds weird to me..

Kind of reminds me all people paranoid about touch ID when it was rumored ti come with the iPhone 5s. What is someone steals my fingerprint, what is someone cuts my finger and all these bunch of hilarious stuff :)

Chill out. iPhone is a multi billion dollar busies for Apple. It is far to large to screw it up.

I feel like I'm writing this on every iPhone 8 rumour post but...

These rumours are so confusing but they're being reported by a number of sources, so there must be some truth to them (unless they're all jumping on the bandwagon).

I just can't see a scenario where one of three(?) new iPhones is truly new and the others are like a 7s. That would be a hugely confusing and fragmented product launch and product line

Somehow, Samsung is the number 1 smartphone vendor in the world with hundreds of different products across dozens of lines....

Can anyone actually name all the differ t Galaxy devices and when they usually come out?

I think Apple would be fine with 3. But I'll still bet we see 2 like always. This is the year the number goes away so we could see an iPhone Mini, Air, Pro....

While I believe this is possible as you say with the new direction Apple happens to be heading. . . .what demographic would make up the "pro" iPhone user? I can see Schiller on stage now "The iPhone 8 Pro is the best product we have ever made..."

It makes you wonder about a white front version. It will actually just have a silver/white back and sides, but the front could be all black. I don' t see the function area to be white, since it is basically an oled screen and oled screens aren' t that great at displaying white, and are not very battery efficient when displaying white.
