My iPhone 17 Pro Max will hold me until next year for IPhone 20th Anniversary model.
Hence my comment...Just to note. In September 2022, I posted about how they increased the price in the UK, and received a bunch of replies about how the GBP was weak against USD and that Apple would likely cut prices if GBP strengthened.
4 years later, GBP has risen approx 25-30% against USD and I have not seen any price cuts.
Not always. Sometimes the price is lower on the same exchange rate situation.
No FaceID which is a huge compromiseDid you even watch the keynote? While it doesn't have the same full camera tech as the iPhone 18 Pro, there are zero other compromises. That's the point.
Tough luck for maple bucks$3000 CAD base model. ouch lol
Might spend the money difference on a cheap flight to New York and buy it there.£1999 in the UK.
Current exchange rate: $1999 = £1475
As expected.
This makes me torn. Buy the duo or wait a year for the 20th anniversary iPhone. Furthermore duo is a 1st gen product which will undoubtedly be improved on in a meaningful way next year.My iPhone 17 Pro Max will hold me until next year for IPhone 20th Anniversary model.
If that's the case, buy it from the US store. Or if you have a friend in the US get them to do it and send it to you.Just to note. I really hate Apple for this - can I buy one from USA Amazon and just ship it over here do you think?£1999 in the UK.

It doesn’t have FaceID check the drop down menuThis should have the same camera module as the 18Pro. Now that it does have magsafe/faceid, it's the only thing holding me back.
AUD$3499 in Australia. International pricing is subsidising the lower than expected starting price in the US.
When folded, it's less than 3/10 of an inch wider than any Pro Max phone... I think it will fit in a pocket just fine. They said thinner, not narrower.
If I wanted an iPad in my pocket, I'd have bought an iPad.
