Bad news, some crazy pepole in my country wanted to search her by a tool--"人肉搜索"(I'm so sorry that I cann't speak it in English),generally speaking, by the power of Interent, all of the information of herself will be showed on Interent.Believe me,they can carry their point.:(

i'm surprised that there's not more "outcry" because the girl looks like she's 12.

Actually, she looks quite a bit older. I know a number of Japanese and Chinese people, and she looks like she's about 19-20. The Olympic gymnasts, now...

Ugg, if I'm interpreting what that likely indicates, then I can see your point. I feel sorry for her, hope her 15 minutes of fame passes quickly then!

Everything is over now,Her colleague had recognized her on BBS,her life will be disturbed from now,by all the crazy pepole.ALL her information, about name, address, age will all be spreaded through Interent.:(
IN CHINA,such incidents has occurred for many times, now, she is casualty

Macrumors is better than this...
i don't even understand why you would bother posting such news.

I have to agree. I can see this as a forum topic, but it was posted as news on macrumors.com/iphone, as though this is some wide-spread iPhone-related issue that is going to affect everyone. Huh???

For the forum and not news: I don't see why the girl would ever be fired; she is not the one that took the picture. If anything, they would go to the girl in the picture and say "who took the picture?," and the person responsible for taking the picture would be the one reprimanded.
On China's factory using the word "accidentally," they are practically screaming the words "cover up." I've never seen such compassion out of that country "oh, it was an accident. everyone makes mistakes. we're human." Yeah Right!!! I've watched several documentaries on China on the History and Discovery channels. Those people don't even know what compassion is!

Don't be stupid. you really think she took that photo? she's IN the photo...

hmm, now that would be a nice feature on Camera... self timer.

Don't be stupid, of course she didn't take it, but she's in it! If someone took a photo of you "goofing off at work", you will be the one who looks bad, not the person who took it. :)

incredible...they found her...glad she wasn't fired...but can we trust the source...she might have been sent to a re-education camp for all we know!!!

This is why I love the internet. Hello to our friends in China! :)

THANKS!In CHINA,this news has climbed to the first page of our biggest website-sina,many pepole have read it,and comment on it on BBS,just in that BBS,I read that one person had told her name out(I'm sorry I don't to type her name out,so I keep it as a secret),and her address of work-"富士康iDPBG事业群DMPG-MFG02.地址在深圳观澜大水坑观澜科技园C04".OK,In CHINA many pepole who search her also got the information. Now you can read the news of her details during the following days.:(

Don't forget:There are 1.3 billion people in CHINA.And there are 0.1 billion people often suffer on Interent.

Guys, just drop it already. Try to put yourself in her shoes for a moment. Would you want to have a photo of yourself at work passed around the world if you were her? Probably not.

All this obsession people have for celebrity sickens me. We are all human beings with a right to privacy regardless of our job/vocation.

People are just having a bit of fun here, why the dour mood? No one knows who she is, there have been no other pictures of her...this is all no big deal. It was just funny when it happened, plus they were cute pictures.

Not to say I told you so....but how could you *ahem* people not know that these were quality control pics? Why would getting fired, or the person taking the pics getting fired, or any other cockamamie story you can come up with other than THEY WERE DOING THEIR JOB come to mind? They need to see occasionally if the camera works, not every one, so the guy/girl forgot to erase them. Big deal.

(maybe its because you have this stereotype of teenagers (which she probably isnt, but looks like) just fool around all day at work? idk)

中国人女孩很美
:)

Thank goodness she didn't lose her job (Personal preferences, some people might dont like it and such but yeah, like I said personal preference as long as this don't become a habit). But hey it will be nice to communicate people from around the globe eh?

OK,it's late now,I had to go to sleep,if there is any new about this thing,I will come here to tell you,I hope the girl has a quiet life,I,She,are all CHINESE,she is my brethren. Her work is very fatiguesome,in the city such as SHENZHEN,and in foxconn.:(

Would I fire her for this, hell no as it's pretty harmless. But as a manager I could see a case for potentially firing the person in the photo, it's evidence. I would have no idea who actually took the picture unless they confessed. :)

Of course you might not fire her, as a reasonable individual, but imagine if the regime you lived in was a little less "free"?

She would be fired, from a canon, into the sun. And the state news agency would say she wasn't. Who's gonna argue? No one who doesn't also want to be fired using said canon...

So you guys are the ones that will be running the country in 20 years? I'm SERIOUSLY concerned about my future...

Thanks for your praise!Internet is global,so I can come to here.By the way, many chinese netizens has knew here by the news, including many APPLE FANS,I think some of them will come to here to communicate with you, such as me.:D

I think that Apple should immediately recall all iphones to remedy the potentially disastrous "Chinese Girl Virus"!

That's what makes it ok?

So if I happen to get some pictures of your sister/mom/cousin/aunt/niece and post them all over the internet because they're "cute," I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem with it. We're just having fun, right? Maybe if I made some sexually suggestive remarks about them it would be even more of a blast!!! Give it up people, you're not having fun, you're obsessing about a girl just because you saw her picture. I'd hate to see how any of you treat women in real life....though I can probably guess.

Maybe this worker, caught on camera, is the new underground poster girl for Apple products.

How do you say Ellen Feiss in Chinese?

Sure, no problem, I also could learn some more Chinese :D (Currently in beginner's class).

Overreacting much? Well its only 1 photo on 1 iPhone, if this problem spread, then I will agree with you except with your name suggestion; for the problem.

So chill ;)

i bet she got sacked.. and the rest..

"a representative said" hmm yeah i'll believe that

So markm49uk has ruined her life because there was a pic of her on his phone.

oh man, that sucks:(

It would be cool to see Apple hire her for some promotional stuff. I doubt they like to promote the "made in China" aspect though.
