I agree, I want to return mine, it's defective with out a cute Chinese girl greeting me when I first get the phone. Apple needs to tell them to leave the photos on the phone! How cool would that be?

:D Everyone should go back to apple saying that their phones are defective without a Chinese a girl and demand a refund haha!!!

at this point she might as well be the spokesperson for all apple related PR in china. talk about going from a nobody to a celebrity overnight. of course this begs the question, would this be a big deal at all if she wasn't so darn cute?

Very doubtful the girl in the pictures is responsible for the problem as she probably takes hundreds of these pictures a day, but is not responsible for the clearing.

Unless she has very very long arms, I doubt she even took the photo. Of course she shouldn't be fired.

The thing that interest me the most with this topic is the responses aimed towards China as a country. Some people in here seem to have some serious stereotyping issues.

I'm a bit late to this, but couldn't resist...

Ummm, aren't they about one in a million, which is pretty unlikely.

Nonsense. If the odds are indeed one in a million (that is, one bad memory swipe per million), it's quite likely (though not certain) that it would have happened several times, given the millions of iPhones manufactured to date.

Not every iPhone owner is on here, maybe more have just been erased.

Of course China is going to say she's not fired. She's probably long gone.:apple:

They were never there and imagine all the most ridiculous things. China might deal with top corporate executives like thugs when they goof up big time, but this is nothing like that.

If you ever find the article about her found dead in her cell with a gun that had one bullet in it let us know. Those stereotypes need reinforcing.

... Give it up people, you're not having fun, you're obsessing about a girl just because you saw her picture. I'd hate to see how any of you treat women in real life....though I can probably guess.

Probably not much need to worry about how they "treat women in real life". Most probably don't get much opportunity to interact with real women vs. pictures and imaginary girlfriends.

I'm not quite sure why she should be fired.

Yes, why should she be fired? Because someone took her picture? If anyone was to be fired, shouldn't it be the person who actually snapped the photo...not the person that they aimed the camera at?

i still think this should become standard practise.
i'm quite gutted that neither of my iPhone's came with a picture of the factory and it's workers on it - it'd be a cool gimmick: one iPhone in every million has the QA test pics left on it - are you the lucky one? if so, claim your free iTunes download at apple.com... etc etc

it'd be like wonka bars all over again!

I would have no idea who actually took the picture unless they confessed. :)

Exactly! And so many people are saying that she did it, you even said it in your last post!

All she did was pose for a photo; no chance you could get fired for that. As mentioned, it could have been part of a QA process.

Anyway this story sux, I'm out.

Translation

Bad news, some crazy pepole in my country wanted to search her by a tool--"人肉搜索"(I'm so sorry that I cann't speak it in English),generally speaking, by the power of Interent, all of the information of herself will be showed on Interent.Believe me,they can carry their point.:(

人肉搜索 = Human search

Haven't you heard what the Chinese government said about their gymnasts, it's the asian body style that makes them look so young. ;) :D

Yup. She must be 16 or 17. She looks older than the toothless gymnast. :D

Hmm, do I dare?

... replace the :apple: Apple logo?

The reason she would be fired is because she is goofing off, posing for pictures while she should be working. Perhaps the person who took the picture was just testing the phone, perhaps he accidently left the picture on the phone. iPhone girl still should have been working in the picture, not holding up the peace sign. Would I fire someone for doing this on occasion? no. I would certainly make note of it to make sure she didn't make it habit.

You "heard"? From where?

I heard these pictures caused a big stir in Apple because it represents a huge gap in QC procedures at the plant...

What is this, Fox News? You heard from who? from were? Please state. I know it's Mac "rumors", but still. I am guessing that only a few people at Apple would get "stirred" up about this, and those mainly at the top, so you must have some high connections!

Oh my God!Even pressman has joined this game, they take the picture of this girl, stay in the gate of the factory of foxconn, want to have an interview with the iphonegirl in these days.Luckily, they cann't go into the workplace of the iPhone girl, and there are 200,000 workers in the factory,it wil take them a lot of time to find her.
