I am getting a new message when I say that I want to check for updates. It says that it is contacting the iPhone update server.
Both previous iPhone updates happened on a Tuesday - coincidence? I don't think it is. Especially when coupled with a rumor I read today over on the 9to5mac.com site (check the column on the left about updated iPhone firmware). Rumor basically implies that the update will occur on Tuesday to coincide with the Apple Event in London (probably announcing European iPhone carriers). I wish we didn't have to wait 'till then. Then again, maybe I'm wrong...
Steve is awesome, but not awesome enough to trick the FCC.
i bet we will be waiting until next week maybe tuesday? Oh well at least I got a new nano to play with this weekend![]()
Has anyone else noticed that apples's website no longer has "coming soon" on the page for the wifi iTunes feature?

I noticed that still mentioned "coming soon" up until very recently. I'm hoping this is an indication that the iPhone will be getting an update soon.![]()

iTunes does this once a week; other people have different dates. Anyway, don't take that iTunes's "next check" date as when an update is coming, or you'll be disappointed often.did anyone else notice that it says the it will check for next update on the 18th which happens to be a tuesday.

along with the slew of posts pertaining to the firmware update has anyone noticed that the screenshot for the WiFi iTunes store has some revised icons (i.e. calculator)?
didn't even notice that. clock is set to a different time as well.

the clock icon is set for 9:42! is this just a continuation of always using 9:42 in all iPhone press pics, which i assume has some inside meaning for the marketing employees at apple?
or is it a live icon, showing the current time at all times? does this mean we might see a live weather icon?
would be great.. now.. where's 1.1.1?? do i have to wait until 9:42am on monday?
