Its pretty frustrating that this update basically exists to provide a new revenue stream for Apple (the WiFi store) yet does not address even a single one of the items published on web sites all over the place as far as features that people want.
I don't recall seeing everyone say "wow I love my iPhone but I just wish there was a way I could buy songs off iTunes from any WiFi hotspot,"
installing now!
does anyone know what AV cables will work with the iphone since it now supports TV out?
Wha?? Anyone else have a working iToner?Me too. And the ringtone I added last night via iToner is still there and working.

I have an unmodded iPhone and I keep getting a pop-up saying "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1603)." Prior to this, I had to restore it because it said my iPhone was in recovery mode and had to be restored to its original settings in order for the update to take place. Anyone else have this crap?!

Gizmodo reporting that it doesn't brick unlocked phones, video to follow. !!!
I really don't hear any difference in the speaker volume. The earpiece volume seems a bit louder but that's about it. Same distorted speaker volume.
I'm still waiting for wpa2 enterprise support so I can access my college's wifi network...![]()
Well, I suppose if Apple had bought up MacroMedia, instead of Adobe buying them, thus owning Flash now, then it would be up to Apple to update it. Talk to Adobe about it.When is apple finally going to give the customers what they want? While the iTunes feature is nice, we need flash support!
Adobe acquire macromedia in 2005 for 4.1Billion... Flash is Adobe's baby now...
anyway, i'm not convinced that flash is a resource hog on the iphone, you know, since you can already watch full length movies on the phone, etc... they're probably just waiting for the .h264 flash to happen... it's defiantly coming...
If early reports are correct and this is, indeed, not bricking unlocked phones, we have all sorts of things to speculate about!
1. Is Apple *intentionally* not breaking the unlocked phones?
I2. Had Apple originally planned on breaking them, and then decided not to after feedback this week?
I4. If unlocked phones are not, in fact, breaking, how come people are reporting installer.app breaking?
Still no way to select and delete multiple e-mail messages.
6. Apple couldn't and wouldn't guarantee that the update wouldn't break unlocked phones. If early reports are correct and this is, indeed, not bricking unlocked phones, we have all sorts of things to speculate about!

3. Are all unlocked phones not breaking, or is there a relationship between unlock method and functionality after firmware update?
4. If unlocked phones are not, in fact, breaking, how come people are reporting installer.app breaking?
5. Do phones that start off at 1.1.1 work with the current unlock methods? (This one is of great interest, and it's only a matter of time before we find out!)

Yes it does. Turn off EDGE when roaming. Speakerphone volume. There, that's two.
Actually I believe that was a wanted feature since the day they announced the iPhone -- a way to buy songs wirelessly over wifi. Lots of people on this board wanted it when the Touch came out and had it while the iPhone still didn't.
