Other iPhone Fold Will Have a Crease

True. Nothing wrong with a niche product. I'm definitely not saying Apple shouldn't make a fold.

I don't understand why so many people want Apple to cut their range down to the minimum number of products. I think Apple should serve more niches that are worthwhile. Making an iPhone mini every 2 or 3 generations would make some people very happy. Not me, I don't want one. Too small and cramped, but why not make it? If you ignore every niche you will eventually become irrelevant.

Despite the fact that under the man who came up with that original grid, Apple’s product lines all expanded to be significantly larger and all over the price map in comparison to what they were in 1997.

but what's the killer feature or reason of the iPhone Fold being 6 years behind the competitors?

I have the Google Pixel Fold and hardly notice the crease visually.
Only if you rub your finger across it I notice it.

I used the pixel fold for 2-3 weeks in Nov 2025. Honestly I did not notice the crease when actually reading and watching the videos head on.

Love the Pixel Fold but it heats up more than my 2 other iPhones and the battery needs to be recharged in the middle of the day.

Probably has to do with energy for both folded and unfolded screens ??

Right. The have so many good products from airpods, to watches, to laptops. Heck they even have streaming platforms and movies releases including award winning Movies and legitimately great TV shows (Widows Bay). We are beyond late 90s apple.

I was impressed with Pixel fold and trying android for the first time. It felt like a mature product. Its just too big and too much as a daily phone. Its actually a great phone, and if only I did not have apple products from top to bottom, I would be fine with android. I don't think I'd miss much. But the cost of moving with be too much. But I do love MacOS I wouldn't buy windows as my main laptop.

Yes fully agree with you - love MacOS and will always use it over any other computer.

My main daily device is the Mac Studio with dual 27" displays that helps with my aging eyes. MBA, MBP, and Neo are for on the go use only.

As for phones, I have 3 (2 iPhones and 1 Google) which works well for me....

Ditto. Love MacOS, but I will say my experience last year with a Lenovo Legion 7i was quite good. It is a beautiful Windows laptop in Glacier White.

I have my MBP docked and connected to a 55" LG G5 most of the time (such as now). I much prefer MacOS but can't say the same about iOS. I left iPhones years ago for Samsung foldables and haven't looked back. The foldable iPhone, however, may tempt me back. It is a tall ask and will depend on how well Apple does the software because the Fold8 and OneUI are pretty magnificent.

The crease is like a notch on an iPhone or a nose on a human face. You notice it as first but then you forget about it.
