What happened after clearance completed? That’s all I’ve been seeing since this morning when it updated and nothing else. I’m just anxious about the phone lol
Left Louisville today at 12:52 PM local
Arrived Seattle today at 2:06 PM local

so yeah I guess there really shouldn't be any more delays for the scheduled delivery tomorrow by end of day (crossing fingers) :)

Hope you get yours soon! I’m hoping for mine tomorrow or after tomorrow! Just waiting for the UPS app to tell me it’s somewhere that’s not anchorage and somewhere near FL

Mine apparently is stuck in ZhenZhou and not going anywhere soon. It was there all day yesterday and today I see my status changed to Rescheduled Delivery but the delivery date is Information Unavailable.

I guess Shanghai is backed up. Usually it goes from ZhenZhou to Shanghai pretty fast and gets stuck at Shanghai for days.

This isn’t a gift for someone else, so I would not otherwise mind any delays, except for the fact Apple is shipping my trade in box already and I’ve got 14 day from the receipt of the box to trade my 11 Pro back to them. The Pro Max is already too expensive for me to take that full cost without a trade in.

As a family we’ve just done three trade ins and they never shipped the trade in box until after receipt of the phone. I’m pretty ticked off at Apple for this.

edit: it looks like the shipment of my trade in box now has a status of Rescheduled Delivery.

ok so I hope that means someone was staying on top of the situation. I don’t care how long the phone sits in China as long as the trade in window matches the phone’s arrival.

What makes you think that it goes from Zhengzhou to Shanghai? Usually it goes from Zhengzhou to either South Korea or Anchorage, AK. Your phone can either leave from Zhengzhou to Anchorage or from Shanghai to Anchorage. I guess it's possible that some do go to Zhengzhou to Shanghai, but I've never seen that happen.

I think there was an article about Shanghai delaying customs at the airport due to covid cases within the airport area.

Btw, this is the 12 Pro max, which was ordered on 11/20/2020 and Shipped on 12/1/2020.

Looking at other paths earlier orders took. Also go back a page and see the other posted screenshot. ZhenZhou to Shanghai.

I’m sort of shocked that my phone has taken a similar path as yours but just stops at brokerage has released the package. Even more frustrating that I ordered my phone ten days before the 20th and mine was shipped 11/21.
Even MORE frustrating that I can do nothing about it at all and Apple is no help.
When I ordered I was supposed to get my phone this week. That’s obviously not happening. :(

EDIT TO ADD: did my daily chat for an update with Apple and again zero help.
I’m asking that a manager or supervisor contacts me but that will apparently take till Monday.

File a lost package claim here. Apple isn't going to send a replacement until it's determined to be lost by UPS and an investigation take 8 days. Even if it's not lost, if enough people are filing lost claims it might light some fire under them to find out what the issue is and get it resolved and back in transit.

You mean its last known location has been ZhenZhou all these days? Or Anchorage?

Mine says my package is in transit and they’re updating plans to schedule my delivery. But they’ve been saying that for two days now. Two days isn’t bad compared to the other shipping delays reported here. It just makes things hairy for holiday shoppers and people whose schedules require them to know when their goods are arriving.

I can’t imagine what it’s like for the workers, with the holiday volume of shipments to move plus dealing with Covid and backups. The system must be strained to the maximum.

I can understand shipping delays with everything else going on, but it's really frustrating seeing that people who ordered a week or more later are getting their shipments already after going through the same cities. It's like Chinese customs took all the shipments from 11/20-11/23 and stuck them in a warehouse to sit and are now prioritizing the newest batches that come through.

I would have thought with how much money Apple and Foxconn puts in to the Chinese economy they would have representatives on the ground to check up on issues like this.

unfortunately, regardless of money, 2020 is proving to be pushing limits on all angles. There’s only so many workers, and volume backlog in China is insane right now.

Ah yes, I saw that. It's just weird why the tracking would go from Zhengzhou to Shanghai? Never seen that happen. But then again, my launch day 12 Pro Max did went from Zhengzhou to Chap Lok, HK and then to Anchorage. So I guess maybe to pick up some pallets in Shanghai I suppose.

This is what my tracking looks like. Only reason there is an update today is because I personally filed a claim with UPS.

This is what gets to me! I am sympathetic to the current situation but it’s not like there have been zero orders from Apple coming out of China. We have seen on this very thread that orders placed and shipped later have made it through fine and are soon to be in customer hands if they aren’t already.
Again, I’m sympathetic to the situation but I’m shocked that every “specialist” I speak to can’t give any good info on what is happening here. It looks like others have gotten more Info than I have. They just keep moving the goalposts on me and telling me to wait. This isn’t a $5 item from China. It’s a 1k+ phone.

Daaaaamn! Most people got theirs stuck in ZhenZhou or Shanghai. Mine has been held up in China longer than usual but it’s still too early to consider it MIA or even especially late. Wow I’m sorry your phone has gone missing and I hope this gets sorted out for you soon.

My first order that I canceled stayed in processing limbo for 10 days when I canceled it. I ordered on November 10 and estimated shipping dates kept slipping to basically where they are now for my second order. My second order was made on the 24th. It was in processing for a long time so I was about to cancel that one and just wait until after the holidays, when I got the notice it was shipping.

I have honestly seen much worse though as a Samsung customer. I’ve had two orders with them that were delayed for about two months. One was ordered in August and still in processing limbo due to shortages when it was cancelled in early November. This was a couple years ago and there was nothing unusual going on to cause that. No wars, pandemics or murder hornets. I know that’s different from your situation of your phone actually being missing in transit. But I empathize with feeling lost in “the system” and feeling left in the dark. Good luck to you.

I think all the Mini's stopped in Shanghai this year. The PM's didn't.

Yes, I'm aware of that but if that's the case then why does some have a scan in Zhengzhou? and it shouldn't route from ZZ to Shanghai if the Mini wasn't manufactured in Zhengzhou.

You’re asking us? By “us” I mean the people who’ve seen them go from ZhenZhou to Shanghai. How would we know? I don’t know why they go where they go. I just look at the tracking reports. For my part, I assumed if my 12 mini went through Shanghai and the other person’s iPhone went through Shanghai, that’s just where they were going this time.

I don’t know where my 12 Pro Max will go next. I just saw that “brokerage released it”. Then it’s going to a clearance agency. Then it will be released to UPS. No geographical locations are listed with this latest update.

So apparently wherever it may be geographically, UPS doesn’t actually have it yet. I don’t know when they will have it. It could be hours. It could be days. It could be a week. It could very well be at some agency in Shanghai right now. Maybe an update will tell me if it is. Maybe it is there but won’t ever be mentioned, and to my eyes it will look like it was only ever in ZhenZhou. I have no idea how this all works.

This is actually the first time I’ve watched the travels of an iPhone within China particularly closely, noting all the little stops and clearances.

It’s fascinating. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into getting these phones made and transported to my front door.

I just hope it’s in great shape and good working order when I finally get to use it. It would be sad if it was defective after watching it travel all this way through so many unusual delays.

Well hell a lot of people here are in the same predicament as me with a missing iPhone 12. Which means there are a lot of people not on here also. I think we will all see our phones at the same time. Don't know how you could miss a bulk shipment or .......

I ordered my Pro Max 12 on Nov. 17th, with a delivery date of the 27th according to UPS. My phone has been stuck in China since the 21st clearing customs. I gave up and ordered the phone locally from an Apple store and am picking it up today. I then filed a claim with UPS yesterday. Magically today UPS updates their information that the phone is at a local city a few miles from me at 9 am this morning and they will update tomorrow when it will be delivered.

Ordered 12 Pro Max 128gb on 11/6.
Shipped 11/21
In transit 11/23

No updates since. Any other online retailer would have submitted a replacement order with expedited shipping. Absolutely horrible customer service from Apple on this front. They don't know when it will arrive, or when they will ship a replacement. How can you charge me for a product you don't know when I'll receive?

From someone who works in the logistics industry, this issue should have been resolved a week a go.

I received my MagSafe case and 20W power adapter 2 weeks ago. Today the MagSafe charger arrived. My iPhone is still stuck in limbo in ZhengZhou, even though Apple has labeled it as "Arriving Soon" on my order page, still after UPS tracking has updated as it's being investigated as lost since I filed a claim. You would think a bunch of palettes of $1k+ products being an unknown status for 2 weeks would perk Apple's ears and make them find out wtf is going on with their shipments. I signed up for an Apple Card because of this order and had to pay for the first installment for a phone I have no idea what the status of it is.

Wow I don’t know what to say reading the last few posts here.

I went from just being interested in the process to being in a real pickle. My trade-in box for my 11 Pro arrived today. They inexplicably left it on a bench in my yard in the rain even though the covered front porch is a few steps away. Sadly, I worry the closer to the holidays we get, the crazier the delivery spots will be.

Now I’m supposed to send my 11 Pro in within 14 days of receipt of this box, not my 12 Pro Max.

I don’t know why this box got sent to me before Apple got confirmation that I received the phone for which I’m trading my 11 Pro. We’ve m ordered four phones for our household this year that involved trades of older devices and the trade in box never before got sent before the new phone was received.

I tried customer service chat but was never connected to a representative. I’m sure it’s an absolute 💩 show for customer service right about now.

I don’t dare try calling. I’m in the middle of a charity project and don’t relish sitting on hold.
