[*]iPhone sales are down:
So a sales spike when the new model was released? Typical of any device. Sales were still higher YOY.
[*]Fido has discontinued 16gb iPhone
Doesn't look discontinued to me
http://www.fido.ca/web/page/portal/Fido/iphone
[*]Finding the iPhone page on Rogers website is nearly impossible
So the TWO links on their homepage aren't easy to find?
http://www.rogers.com/web/Rogers.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=WRLS_HOME
[*]
www.celebrityblackberrysightings.com is updated daily,
www.celebrityiphonesightings.com (same owners) hasn't been updated since July 2008
Looks like an avandoned website to me. Any proof it's because there are no sightings?
[*]Blackberry Storm has been recently been shown in many T.V shows; Gossip Girl, 90210, Law and Order SVU, House, Samantha Who, and more. iPhone has only been seen ONCE on T.V. on one show, and that's Ugly Betty, who watches that?
Wrong, off the top of my head two and a half men and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, CSI: Miami and How I met your Mother to name a few show it. A lot of these shows have contracts with carriers to show their latest phones. If that contract isn't with at&t you will never see it on the show.
[*]Apple hasn't updated the iPhone page of their site in months, and look at this picture:
http://www.apple.com/ca/iphone/gallery/#image2
When you don't have a new model out you don't need to update your website.
[*]Best Buys and Wal-Marts in my area used to have a whole section or kiosk of about 20-30 demo iPhones that could be used, now it has been reduced to about 3-5 and the section has been replaced with other phones.
Also wrong at least in regards to Best Buy, I work for Best Buy and we have only EVER had 2-3 on display at any given time 2 in 99% of stores.
[*]The Apple Stores have taken down the huge tv. iPhone displays in the window.
While this may be true Apple refreshes displays to match their newest products. iPhone came out last July it's not their newest product.
[*]iPhone is no longer listed in Best Buy's weekly flyer.
Most ad items are vendor funded sale items. If Verizon is paying us to put their phone in the ad that will get priority over a non vendor funded item.
[*]iPhone App Store is more popular than the actual iPhone.
Doesn't that prove the popularity of the iPhone since it shows tons of people are using it?
[*] iPhone used to make up more that %80 of Engadget and Gizmodo's posts, after emailing some of the editors, they revealed that iPhone now makes up about %15 of posts.
Again, it's not the newest kid on the block anymore, Palm Pre is a number of their posts because its new and not released yet. As soon as apple updates it will reign king again. With technology blogs you have to post the latest and greatest of you lose your readers.
[*] iPhone is still not available in many countries, and Apple hasn't expanded availability since the release of iPhone 3g.
Show me any phone that is available in every country?
[*] Rogers has introduced 3.5g speeds, and of course, iPhone 3g doesn't support it, but Blackberry Bold and Curve do.
That has what to do with popularity?
[*] Rogers is also ditching the 16gb iPhone
[*] Rogers is wrecking 6gb accounts:
http://www.theiphoneblog.com/2009/0...cking-6gb-accounts-fido-ditching-iphone-16gb/
One is speculation the other if anything is just a crappy business practice from their carrier.
[*] Nintendo is launching their own DS store, which will be available to the 100 million plus DS users.[/quote[
Again, what does this have to do with iPhone?
[*] Apple has discontinued the iPhone Bluetooth Headset.
Probably because a new model will launch with the new phone or it will become a convertible headset/stereo headphones or quite possibly because it sucked? One last time, headset being discontinued is no indication of iPhone popularity.
