This is certainly good news for Apple in terms of revenue, I just wonder how much revenue they lost when they ended their AT&T exclusivity.

Order Status?

Okay, I get that Apple sold lots of iPhones yesterday, but now that they are done selling the phones until the 9th, when are they going to spend some time and fix their order status page so we can check the status of our orders?

lol

My son wants me to buy now LOL but I want to wait to iphone 5.
Of course he wants to ride my Contract.
I am surprised this many americans still have money with the job losses going around.

You have children and still use the word "LOL"?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148a Safari/6533.18.5)

I've tried a mot droid or two. I tell ya it's not quite the same experience. It's fine, and probably integrates into the windows experience / google mail etc just fine. But it wasn't as intuitive. I picked up the first iPhone on June 29z, 2007 and instantly understood how to use it. These other phones have to go out of their way not to copy the experience and it makes them hard to use. Overly complicated at times. It reminds me of every time I jump on a windows machine I seem to be able to operate it better than the day to day operator, yet still it's a painful experience. I like the consistency of osx. That's the point of an os/interface.

That said, I recently picked up the original mot droid and surfed a few sites I've made with flash. They are mostly eye candy splash page interfaces, but they don't play well on older laptops like a g4 iBook. But they were just fine over 3G on the original droid. Completely viewable and useable. I would really appreciate it if apple simply turned on flash and made it an option whether to use it or not. The newer phones can handle it. Apple truly is just being self serving at this point. If flash is such a battery drain or unusable, let people discover that and demand change. Turning off compatibility just makes it look like the phone itself is incapable.

Or user experience and integration into the apple ecosystem. Naaaaaa that wouldn't make a good smart phone.

Before iPhone people go crazy. it's only ONE device. Android probably sold 9 billion when u combine all devices on initial launch.

9 Billion, eh? So they sold 1.5 phones for every person on earth?

I wouldn't be surprised if the ViPhone has pre-sold 1M to 2Million.

Why do people compare ALL Android phones to the iPhone? All Android phones are not the same.

This is nothing but good news.
