How can an incorrect path for the SDK break the phone?

If he is right, do you think Apple would pull the download saying "Beta 3 is breaking some phones"?

I am not saying that is not the real reason why Apple pulled it but if it is something like that, they will not tell the truth about something important like that.

Look at the source. iPodtouchfans is about as reliable a source of information as Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf was. "There are no American infidels in Baghdad. Never!" :p

The interwebs truly are full with tin foil hats and conspiracy theories these days. Why would Apple lie to their paying developers who are fully aware of the consequences of installing beta software on their phones and instead leak the correct reason to the hacker/wares-community?

Yeah, that makes real sense...

I never said that was true. I did not believe it either but what I am saying is that Apple will not make themselves look like fool by saying "Yeah, our beta is killing some phones". Do you think they care about the developers? They can just make up something to cover it up. That's all I am saying.

- Camera / camera roll / screenshots working again.

- Swipe left in the multitask dock area to get iPod controls.

- Orientation lock feature via multitask dock area (swipe left).

Stupid question, how do you get to the multitask dock? I have a 3G and I never bothered because I can't do multitasking.. but now there are features I want.

update was successful, reconfiguring my exchange mailboxes now

I haven't been able to do it under Win7. I can do it under Snow Leopard, no SDK has ever been installed though. Just works with iTunes. I can never update it though - that crashes iTunes, I can only do a restore - this was with b1b2b3...

Beta 3 working smooth as silk on my 3GS. Much faster response times and app startup times vs. B2. Installed fine with Xcode 3.2.3 SDK B2

If you have an OS4 beta installed you double-click the Home button.

That's the point, on a 3G this doesn't do anything (well you can set it up to pull up favorites, iPod, Camera, or Search.)

Thus this is locking 3G people out of features like lock rotation? That seems like a really silly. :( I hope that they update this so 3G people can get in on the rotation lock.

Was the wallpaper settings screen like this in B1/B2?

Wallpaper%20Scr.jpg

Been using 4.0b3 for a bit now... Lots of bugs fixed but I gotta say, it could run a little snappier on my 3GS...

Is it me or is this a new safari URL bar? (New design?)

EDIT: What your seeing is it cuts out the Google bar completely.

I skipped b2, but Gmail settings now has an Archive Message setting. On - messages archive when trashed. Off - previous delete function.

Not sure if it was there in B2 but I noticed that there is now a Microsoft looking icon for my Exchange mailboxes in the Mail app overview. Before it was using an @ sign for the icon.

Folders seems to be broken when syncing with iTunes. I can create them on my phone just fine, but when I sync with iTunes it gets rid of them and rearranges my icons. Kind of annoying.
