I've noticed a bit of multitasking going on, I have been in my settings menu left and when I go back later it opens at the last screen I was at instead of the normal way it would open the settings
While in an app, use the switcher to go to any other app.
I wonder if it's not a bug but that Apple isn't allowing it based on the device not being powerful enough...which we all know is a load of ****.
Now for everyone else - is the camera broken on all devices with 4.0b2 on it?

How is the camera broken? The photos app is broken so the camera, safari, and other apps can't save to it.

I can use photos, just not the camera app.
For those of you using IMAP for their mail, has Apple introduced the IDLE extension which immediately sends a notification when there is a change in a folder (ie new mail).
My mail provider offers IMAP and offers the IDLE extension and I get notified, without any fetch command, instantaneously of new mail. My old Sony Ericsson K790a of a few years ago supported that.
this was in beta 1.
Are you sure that is working?
C.
Am I sure that is the case with my mail provider? 100%
I am not sure exactly what your question was but in any event here is a link to IMAP IDLE for others who may be interested.

This works outstandingly well.
I read that if you do not update the beta firmware to the newest one (in this case Beta 2), iPhone will stop responding few days after you ignored the "upgrade firmware" warnings. Is this true? If so, how can the iPhone knows when to stop IF you do not sync with iTunes? Any input here?
There are no upgrade firmware warnings. You have to download a separate file from your developer account and manually do it. iTunes knows nothing about whether or not there is an update available for the beta versions. As for when it blacks out on you, that's a tricky question. Not sure
New transitions to Safari from mail, etc. for links.
When the phone is using location services a new little gps icon pops up on the top of the screen. Not sure if this was mentioned or not. And not sure if this was already present in B1. Just hadnt noticed it until I was doing a little app testing this morning.
However, that's my/our decision but if Apple actually makes a worse beta (most people say this), why would you want to install even you are the "real developer".
