I have no interest in wireless charging. I can continue a call while charging if the phone is attached to a cable, but I cannot if it is laid on a charging pad. And the convenience of not having to attach the cable is so minimal that I would rather avoid the extra cost and having one more thing that could go wrong.

As much as I want an SE X, I'd settle for 8 guts (including Camera, 3D Touch, True Tone, and Wide Color Gamut (but the resolution can stay at 5 levels)) in the SE case, so long as it continues to fit in my 5/5S/SE Spigen cases.

But man, a X in the form factor of the SE would never be able to be kept in stock. Mmmmmm.

I hope that this feature creep does not raise the price of the SE so much that it misses the point. I do not want a $700 SE...

Just a quick question for those that are begging for more Touch ID. Have you even tried Face ID yet?
I have. It takes 2-3x as long to unlock when getting the phone out of my pocket, requires an extra gesture that needs me to shift how i hold the phone (although this is more a problem of the size of the phone), and it consistently failed to recognize me after i shaved off my beard. No thanks. Also the missing home button is a bother mostly because the new location of the swipe-up menu in the top right corner is uncomfortable.

A glass back? How horrid! Wireless recharging? Who cares! I want to see Apple make a phone that isn't for latte-sipping, city-bred sissies who giggle over their color options.

Why not create a SE-sized phone that meets Milspec ratings for ruggedness? I grow tired of having to put a case on them.

When SE was introduced, one of the biggest factors that the guy said on stage was some people love smaller phones. Somehow, womehwere in the past 2 years, the Love of Small phones got warped into "Budget inexpensive iPhone". No, I have an SE because I love small phones, not because of budget. Give me a Premium 4", Apple.

If we are going the route of "classic" devices which retain the home button for a few years and X devices which are FaceID only then it really does make sense for Apple to create a more premium version of the SE as well (bring everything that will fit, so the camera module will be more basic).

I do feel bad for anyone who prefers the form factor for one handed use but gets gimped on specs and delays to refreshes. Heck, create a classic version too that uses the A10. Satisfy both markets properly if we are going to two tiers of devices and then sack off the legacy stuff before the 8.

The split between iOS devices which have 3D Touch and those that don't is ridiculous at the moment. Get it on everything so experiences can be consistent with each other or just sack it off. It absolutely shouldn't be an experience only for certain phones. iPad is crying out for it.

Absolutely! Not having 3D touch fully across the board at this point is just stupid.

What do you mean entry model! This size should be beefed up to max specs! This telephone and its thickness has potential to be the most powerul device in the world! I do not understand who like the X or 8 or plus size! There should be also best dual camera and 256 gb size

My experience couldn’t be more different thankfully. I can unlock my phone faster, and not having a home button has been fantastic!

Sorry you have not been enjoying it.

No please, no notch, just no.

Having switch from a 5S to an X on launch day, I can say that the notch is just not the problem people think it is. I got used to it almost instantly and don't even think about it. However, FaceID is getting more annoying with time. When it works, it's nice, but there are too many real world scenarios in which it doesn't work. Maybe keep it, but definitely keep TouchID as well. 3D touch is nice, but needs more universal integration, which can't come until Apple includes it in all iOS devices. But the real killer for the X is the size. It's just way too big. Apple NEEDS a 4" phone with fully up to date specs. Their current tiered market lineup that tries to up sell us into larger screen sizes is a disaster.

I am a premium consumer in general for Apple products. For example I bought all three Apple watches as they’ve appeared on the market. However the number one factor for cellular phone is size. Ever since the iPhone 6 these phones have often too large to use in one hand. I would pay a premium price for something the size of the SE. for some reason phone consumers won’t pay a lot of money unless it’s a big physical brick. Why can’t Apple make something small and beautiful again?
I am like you. I have a 7 right now, but every time I pick up my old iPod Touch, I want my phone to be that size. It just makes too much sense!

The 7 (which I also have) seems to be a nice compromise; a reasonable size to handle and fit in a pocket but large enough to see when using it for such things as in-car navigation. The SE is a bit small for this latter purpose, I have found.

Only on a friend’s. However, ever since we’ve know the mechanics of Face ID, I’ve payed attention to my normal habits with Touch ID, noting when a particular interaction would be impossible with Face ID. And it’s pretty obvious that I would have to change a lot of my behaviors to make that switch. For absolutely no gain whatsoever. Just a forced difference and loss of some functionality.

That said, i don’t think its shortcomings are unfixable. One day, if Apple actually puts effort into usabilty, it could truly be a decent replacement for Touch ID.

Im using it since 2 months and i have a mix of opinions, lets say it is at version 0.5 as it doesnt unlocks everytime i want to, sometimes it fails and its frustrating, and a real pain when is on the car.
