I like the SE. I want to get the SE but my 5s just keeps going and going and I have a difficult time getting rid of stuff that still works. The only thing the 5s can't do that I want is Apple Pay. Don't care about 3d touch or face ID. And I like my headphone jack.

If they announce the new SE without a headphone jack I will immediately order the current SE.

Put an A11 in it, instead of an A10, and I’d be tempted (depending on how the camera is.)
When the SE came out they used the A9, the newest chip available at the time, yet strangely all predictions for the SE 2 are with an A10 instead of an A11. Let's hope they are wrong.

Just a quick question for those that are begging for more Touch ID. Have you even tried Face ID yet?
No, but how do I let my partner access my device with Face ID? It's easy with Touch ID, just add another finger from another person.

I'd be happy if they just updated CPU/GPU, Touch ID and the display to whatever the iPhone 8 is using, tbh the iPhone SE display is just horrible. Wireless charging isn't a priority for me, the display definitely is though.

Hopefully the same design but with the two glass cutouts merged into a single glass back, an A11 chip, touch ID 2, better cameras and some level of water resistance

Yes - iPhone X personal /work issued iPhone 8 Plus. Touch ID is preferred and more reliable for "my use". iP8P is also much less annoying to interact with when on my desk and unlocking. If you are always holding the iPhone it's probably not an annoyance, but for a desk iPhone user it is.

Interesting rumor. I know this is the second time we have heard about the wireless charging with the SE, which would be an added bonus. I don't think it will launch in May, not when WWDC is in June , which would make sense if they would update hardware during that timeframe like they did last year with the updated iPad Pros at WWDC in 2017. Defintely curious to see what happens here.

The 7 (which I also have) seems to be a nice compromise; a reasonable size to handle and fit in a pocket but large enough to see when using it for such things as in-car navigation. The SE is a bit small for this latter purpose, I have found.

yeah you guys must be younger than me and can see much better. Believe me, as time goes by, you will not want a screen THAT small

When SE was introduced, one of the biggest factors that the guy said on stage was some people love smaller phones. Somehow, womehwere in the past 2 years, the Love of Small phones got warped into "Budget inexpensive iPhone". No, I have an SE because I love small phones, not because of budget. Give me a Premium 4", Apple.

Yeah, I also want premium 4" size iPhone. Steve Jobs was right, if you can control whole screen with one hand, it's way easier. I understand some people prefer larger phones, but to control that with just one hand is tougher and also it takes more space in your pocket. I would love premium original size iPhone with wireless charging and lots of space for music and photos. Speed of network and other improvements I would ditch if I could charge the phone only once per two days (which means not worrying that phone will die within next 16 hours and I charge every night). Better battery life would be preferred over faster processor, higher LTE speeds, or any AI BS marketing, etc. No worry about whole day battery life should be standard, not a dream.

If it's exactly the same form factor but they add TouchID 2, better cameras, upgraded CPU/GPU and the back is glass for wireless charging (if they must) I'd be perfectly happy.

If they 'notch it up' and curve the edges I'll be sad.
Since it doesn’t have Face ID, and therefore doesn’t have those sensors, light emitters or cameras I would assume no notch. But that’s just an assumption on my part.

Funny, the one feature I have yet use. For some reason I don’t trust putting a phone on a third party’s hot plate, plus I’m an electrician and like to use heavy duty phone cases. There has been several times otterbox prevented an $800 accident.

I am a premium consumer in general for Apple products. For example I bought all three Apple watches as they’ve appeared on the market. However the number one factor for cellular phone is size. Ever since the iPhone 6 these phones have often too large to use in one hand. I would pay a premium price for something the size of the SE. for some reason phone consumers won’t pay a lot of money unless it’s a big physical brick. Why can’t Apple make something small and beautiful again?
There just arent enough people like us.

Nice.....but.... you know Apple can't make it like that, the notch is too wide to fit on the SE AND show the status bar.
Exactly. With the size of the SE, there wouldn’t be a notch as most of the space at the top would be required for the FaceID module and any space remaining on the sides would be meaningless. So the display would be a little smaller than depicted (no “ears”). Actually, it would probably look too good and give some X owners some “notch-less” envy.

I would like a iPhone SE base design but with a 4.7" screen. They could do it slimmer and it will be killer. We will see but I don´t think that they will put too much effort on this device.

Can you imagine the following SE 2? Same body as SE, FaceID added, but home button/TouchID (upgraded to version 2) kept in addition to an A11, true-tone LCD, wireless charging, and improved single-lens camera with OIS? My mom’s 5s would definitely be replaced with that one this year and I even have a feeling that some of you guys would replace your larger iPhone with that. Even removing the home button/TouchID would be okay in exchange for a larger display.
