I went from a 5S to a 7, and as much as I love the extra screen real estate, I still miss the smaller form factor of the 5S. I hope when it's time for me to get a new phone that Apple comes to their senses and makes an SE equivalent phone for the most recent model iPhone. Otherwise, it's bye-bye Apple and hello Google (Pixel). It's really upsetting to see Apple become this way.

then i just hope that they release a flagship iPhone in a 4 inch size during this September.

Exactly... that's what they need to do (whether they will or not...). Or, if they do pull off a more edge-to-edge screen, they could fit a bigger screen in that case size, then even better. It's the overall form-factor that counts, not the screen size.

Jobs was absolutely right about the optimal screen size for one hand use. Yet enough people need to see the superficial changes of a thinner case and bigger screen as indicators of "innovation". So even though it is less ideal as a phone, Apple and most everyone else keeps cranking out ever larger and thinner phones.

The stock price is irrelevant to me. I was pointing to successes that happened after Tim Cook had taken over as CEO, *not* to the fact iPhone and Mac sales increased in that time.

Steve Ballmer laughed at the iPhone. Tim Cook's reaction to things like Google Glass is a more subdued, thoughtful 'it's difficult to see how that will become mainstream'.

Or on products not released yet? Or the health and fitness facility which goes into Apple Watch? Or the chip design keeping iPhone the fastest phone on the market?

As predicted. There is no argument against the current Apple that you wont counter regardless how well considered.
We all know how you'll respond to every criticism of apple; with a bumch of conditional predictions on what "amazing" stuff you think will come and endless and zealous praise on current apple products that have actually had medocre reception from the public at large .. or
your unfounded predictions that tim cooks Apple will continue to make money on the momentum of glories past?
Bless your heart sir.
Ignorance is bliss.

It's not going to be pentile OLED, guaranteed. That is revolutionary.
Says who?Where does it state it's not a Pentile OLED in the rumours ?Samsung is the supplier and they only use pentile displays
Not exactly sure where this comment comes from. Here is the s7 Galaxy standby test from the android authority.

Show the results of the S7 Edge not the S7 .And then show the results of the Huawei Mate 8

...but you are not making a point about the SE.
All you are saying is that the 7plus has a better resolution than any other iPhone.
So what?

Point is the display on the SE has a noticeably low resolution. Its definitely not a $500 plus display.Even OnePlus 3 has a much better display than it

Just one little problem with your theory- Apple spends more on R and D than most all companies in the entire world. Just in the last two years they will have spent over $20 billion dollars in R and D. Yes, I know it never occurred to you that the most successful consumer product company ever, the most valuable company on the planet, the company that has set the world record for revenue and profits would consider putting money into research and development.

Back to the drawing board for you.

seeing the resulst of this spending, to me they are simply wasting money.

Only because you spend huge amounts of money, doesn't mean that it is well spent!

What is revolutionary about using a screen technology already used by and produced by a competitor for the last several years? Surely Apple has something even newer and better lined up? OLED performs poorly in sunlight, and less seriously though worth considering, is that OLED suffers from burn-in and has a shorter useful lifespan.

Can you "prove" Who the supplier is?

if standby is more or less than 10 days and you need your phone You bring a charger. Does anybody really care about this outside of this thread or is it just an internet bragging point. Or go get a huawei if that's the important quality.

SE best phone I've had. The size is even a bit too large, But I live with it. Apple Pay, the processor and camera are realistically everything I need until true Lynx-style 3D cameras (and apps) arrive. And next phone I look for better be the 4" size. After all, we might see "Obie-wan" hologram displays in two years - big fat Greek displays will be obsolete.

I trust Ming Chi Kuo because of his track record .

The point was that there are phones with better battery life available on Android.Maybe not the best smartphones money can buy but awesome from a battery standpoint. The Moto Z Play also supposedly lasts longer than an iPhone plus

Is gonna be fun seeing everyone's holographic displays!

Well by gosh you're right. It isn't the spending that ultimately counts, it's the sales and profits! Now what do they tell your keen eyes. Yes, that's right, the results have been world record profits, largest revenue ever, worlds most valuable company, the only company making any profits in cell phones, on pace to sell over two hundred million cell phones this year, record setting Macbook pro orders thus far, largest seller of wireless headphones in the world, smart watch sales larger than every other smart watch manufacturer combined, etc. I could go on, but I think you've gotten the point. Remember, don't let your disappointment or anger at a decision Apple makes cloud your thinking.

You can trust anyone you want, rumors are still rumors.

As far as standby iPhones closest competitor has exactly the same stand by battery life.

Revolutionary from an iPhone perspective

Modern OLEDs don't have this issue.Outliers do exist but they also exist for LCD

He's never been 100% right. However you can trust anyone you want. I trust my eyes.

Being right in 90% scenarios establishes his reliability .But you can believe what you want. The chances of him being wrong on this one are very low as he has never been wrong on such major forecasts

Nope, he's pretty much accurate 2 days before the reveal. Other than that you can believe what you want, as there is no "fact" to "prove" this.

Really? Other than simply increasing the pixel density to limit OLED pentile "fuzz", I wasn't aware of any major improvement that made OLED as bright as LED or greatly improved burn-in resistance...

Don't get me wrong, OLED is pretty great for TV because it certainly is better for HDR because of its perfect black levels. But as a mobile display OLED has to make too many compromises. The bloated pixel density to make up for pentile pixel arrangement, etc., just not worth the cost to battery, screen longevity (phones tend to display static images more than TV), and (as far as I have seen) poor daylight performance.
