So far it looks like you've done the right thing here, and that is to not post it. I would highly advise not doing so. Giving out personal information of a minor to a public forum website would definitely not help your case at all if that information were to be discovered.
You really do seem like a good person, I hope you find it back. You've given her plenty of chances, now it's time for her to learn a good hard lesson on returning peoples' property when found.

I thought this too, at first. See the way the girl talks on Facebook, she seems like plenty of other self-absorbed adolescent teens- an older gentleman would not be able to fabricate this story to that extent. At least I don't think so.
Absolute ********, my parents and my friends' parents have all taught us very well. And if any of us (my friends or myself) were to be caught by our parents with something like this, they would have us hanging from our asses. Please, don't speak for the majority of teens. I am one, and I know that there are more kids out there such as myself that are looking to do right. This is just the few bad apples that make the rest of the bunch look terrible.
I agree with this, but I had to comment as well. As I've mentioned before, I'm a teen. I have my mail on whenever I'm at the computer though. Because I do look forward to college emails, emails from customers (running a car detailing service currently), and your everyday other emails.

Ok please stop with the "And that's how the majority of youth are these days" comments. We aren't. I promise you, sure we may be loud, and sometimes a bit obnoxious. But weren't you when you were our age? I know that anyone of my friends would have done what they could to contact the owner to return the phone. This girl is just an arrogant bitch that needs a lesson taught. I personally would never hang out with, much less date, a girl like this. She's trash, and you can't let her make you think that's the way the rest of the teenagers out there are.

I've got a buddy who tries to go down that road and I have to tell him to stop and think of the stupid **** we did when we were there. I tell him it's just kids trying to find their way. Most adults are on your side so let the naysayers just pass on by.

I completley agree, Although the one thing that does my head in is the amount of people my age (24) and younger that insist on using text speak constantly and for no apparent reason.
and to the OP I hope that you get your phone back and the girl gets what is comeing.

If you had read the thread the OP is going to/has gotten as much info as he can to the cops and is now crossing his fingers. Not much more he can do.

Actually, if the cops don't do anything he can contact the prosecutor's office and inform them of what has happened and what evidence/information he has to prove that it is his property.
There are a few more options here.
Musing here, if the phone wasn't worth contacting the PD until 10 days after you found out who stole it, was it worth making a forum thread for?

Since when is South Texas El Paso??? I know it isn't Mexico, but i just assumed that it was lumped with us as West Texas (I'm in Lubbock, Tx).

What the others said. El Paso is not south Texas. El Paso is probably 400-500 miles north of the south most part of Texas.
