Where do I go to find the terms and conditions and contract paperwork for the iPhone Upgrade Program so I have them for my records?

When I called Verizon Business Support a couple of days ago they told me the "ssn" for the business account is the last four digits of the tax id number. I would have to ask for that information since I don't have that. Maybe it'll work. Agreed it seems odd that they will allow you to activate with a paid in full purchase, but not through the upgrade program. My appointment isn't until 7:00 PM eastern time, so I'm hoping some of the issues with the program are ironed out. Verizon business said they should have more information about the program today and maybe they can help me and others. Thanks for your response.

Keep me posted. I am not going to open my phone for a day or so just in case. If you can get the tax id number and the billing zip code, I think you might be alright. Else try pushing the Apple Rep to call in to activate. In the end, it should not make a difference to Apple whether you are on a corporate or consumer account as you are buying the phone off-contract.

So, the process was painless enough, but the payment numbers are confusing me. I got the Truth in Lending disclosure at the time the loan was processed in email and here's what Citizens says. (Note this is for a 6s Plus/128, before you react!).

Monthly payments are $44.91, which I believe is correct. However, the first payment (made within three days, the usual, you can cancel in 72 hours, etc.) is $109.59. This *could* be the tax in one lump sum added on the front.

Then, the other issue is I was charged immediately for $134.73. No idea what's up here. We may be getting more documents later from Citizens with login info for our accounts to, say, change credit cards if needed, etc. that could explain this initial charge?

Any one had the same/different experiences?
Looks like Citizen charged me for three months, $122.25 divided by $40.75.

Painless process and fairly fast. Had 10:30 appointment, got there just after 10, was out by 11. They made a point to say that the Apple upgrade program pulled a soft credit check. I didn't ask, they offered the information.

I arrived at the Apple Store today at 8am for my iPhone Upgrade Program reservation. When the store opened at 8am I went right inside. They had a separate line for people with reservations. This made if very easy to just show up and go in without having to deal with the other very long line.

I went inside, they grabbed my iPhone from the back and started the process. It was very easy. Scanned my phone, ran a soft credit check, had me agree to four different terms of service (two Apple and two from the bank doing the loan for the program) and then ran my credit card to charge the Tax and first payment.

I actually really like that they charged the first payment now as you need 12 payments before you can upgrade again. This makes next September prime for upgrading. That was it. form the time I went into the Apple Store and left only took 20min.

The only information i had to bring in was my ID and a Major credit card (visa, master card, amex ect..)

Is there any incentive to trade in your current phone during the process? Wondering if they would lower the price per month the way T-Mobile is?

Has anyone with a reservation successfully purchased a different phone than the one they originally reserved? I was late to the party and could not get the size and color combo I wanted, but I know that Apple said you can inquire about a different model when you arrive to pick up your phone. With all of the denials I'm wondering if that means there will be additional phones available for those with reservations to switch to.

When I called my store this morning (Buffalo) they said that they had plenty and to just come on down and they could probably make it work. Worth a try!

Yes I ordered a 6s and ended up with a 6s plus 128gb lol. Also I changed it so citizens one draws from my checking account instead of credit card.

How accurate is Credit Karma?

Accurate as far as I can tell, but they use the VantageScore and most credit pulls look at FICO these days. Vantage can be much lower than FICO. If you got approved with a 610 VantageScore (I read your other post) your FICO score could be as high as 750 or higher.

To those who got denied today, if they truly are having technical issues this morning and you can get some kind of official documentation from Apple or Citizens to confirm this, you might be able to get that hard pull removed.

They had every model available but no Rose Golds at my store, so you could change if you wanted to.

I reserved a T-mo 128 SG and changed it to a 128 AT&T without any issues.
I wasn't able to use the Apple Upgrade Program as my account is on my company's account and they needed the account admin as they require activation for the upgrade program. I was able to purchase the AT&T phone as device only and they didn't require any activation.

Okay yeah. Still curious to hear from someone with not good credit.

My FICO score is currently 661 (rated as "fair") thanks to a deadbeat ex who ruined my credit. I had zero issues this morning doing the Apple Upgrade program. I've checked my Experian app and don't see an inquiry, but I think someone else said it hits Equifax.

So how does this work now that I got my phone from ATT next from Apple but i want to switch to the upgrade program to do this every year? I did Next 24 which I will pay off to own the device.

When you pre-ordered you did apple upgrade program and they hold a spot in line for you and you have to go to the store every year?

How did you make that change specifically? I'd love to do that too.

As for me, everything went smooth as silk. The only hang up was this: You cannot use any kind of debit card, even ones that have a CC logo. I tried my bank card with Mastercard logo twice and it was declined both times. I tried a regular credit card and it went through fine the first time.

Also, FYI, you cannot use Apple Pay for this transaction, it has to be swiped or the details entered manually. Luckily I keep my CC info stored in 1Password because I forgot to bring the card I was going to use.

Anyway, I'm at home now upgrading to 9.1 so I can restore my backup. I hope it goes as well for everyone else!
