So where it says
Your personal information and bank details.
You will be asked to provide your date of birth, employment details, and UK home address/es from the last three years for a credit check. You will also need your bank account number and sort code to set up a direct debit.

Do you have to provide proof such as bank statements, birth certificate and a utility bill with your address on or will a drivers licence and debit card suffice

They need it all, so 3 seperate forms should be enough

Yeah i will take my drivers licence, print off my latest salary slip, print a bank statement, pass port and utility bill. That should cover it lol

It's basically the price of the phone plus Applecare paid for over 24 months.

You can choose to upgrade every year if you want to.
Do you have to pay extra for the AppleCare+? If so, would it be possible to just pay for the phone without AppleCare+?

Edit: Found the answer on Apple website. Seems like you can get it without AppleCare+.

All the information on the Upgrade Program can be found here: http://www.apple.com/uk/shop/iphone/iphone-upgrade-program

My drivers license shows a different address than my bank account and utility bills, for business reasons it shows the address from a second property I live in. Not sure if that will cause a issue for proving my ID or if taking along bank statements and a utility bill will be enough to confirm my address and the driving license will be used for photo ID only.

So, on Sept 9. There will be an option to pre-order with the apple upgrade program? ATM the only options are to buy the outright on Sept 9. Anyone have any info about this?

Does anyone know after 11 months and it comes to returning your phone (for the upgrade) if you need to return the box and phone accessories (headphones and charger) with the phone?

The photo ID is to make sure the person making the purchase is giving their own details.

Then the credit check will decide if the name matches address, date of birth etc. and decide if you are worthy of credit based on employment details and financial history.

As long as you look like the photo on your driving licence you will be fine.

Prices without AppleCare if anyone is interested

Am I right in thinking that if you upgrade after 12 months then you have to give back your existing iPhone? If this is true I really cant see any benefit in doing this.
Surely a better option if you want to pay monthly would be to get an 0% on purchases credit card (many available for 24+ months at the moment). You can then pay it off on your own terms, AND if you wish to upgrade after a year you can sell your existing phone which goes a long way to paying for the upgrade, thus resulting in a much smaller amount of credit needed for your new phone.
I can't think of a single incentive to use the apple program over this method unless I am missing something?

Massively undecided how to go about getting this now. My 02 refresh contract ends today so I now only have to pay £20 a month for a plan that I'm happy with. Going with 02 refresh again will put my monthly bills way high, I ideally want to keep it down to £20-£25 for the phone and £20 for my price plan. I'm selling my 6s+ for £400 and that money can be put side for the 7, however Apple and 02 refresh to my knowledge won't allow you to do that, it has to be pre-set payments.

For the record I'm after the 7+ 128gb.

It depends on how much you get for your one year old phone. If you use the upgrade programme then you have a fixed payments. Just multiply the fixed payments and compare it to the depreciation of a new phone after one year

I've got a great SO deal from Vodafone (free thanks to F&F deal) and I normally change my phone each September.

I'm thinking of doing the UP, but I hate monthly outgoing a!

I've locked in £431 for recycling my 6S+, but I wonder if I can put that towards the payments in October?

If you want to upgrade after 11 months you pay another upfront fee.

Defeats the purpose of the upgrade programme entirely in my eyes.

Yeah I'm the same, I'd like to pay more upfront and have less to pay a month
