it looks like your left hand from how the picture is.

Which is what I've been arguing the entire time. If there is a front-facing camera, regardless of whether or not it's real - this is how it would work according to Apple's design in other circumstances.

Ok, here is a picture of me in the same manner as the original picture taken in photobooth... (Mirrored)

Then with EXACTLY the same position (same arms) with my iPod Touch, taken from another camera... (not mirrored like front facing cams)

Think about it, it makes sense.

Is this making sense to everyone now? He got the perspective right but it's still a fake.

yes it displays correctly when taking a photo with the iCamera, but if its on the front it flips the image. go into photobooth. try it. u move right, the picture(reversed) moves right.

Again...

Fake.

The main picture shows he's holding the iPhone in his left hand.

But on the iPhone screen its his right arm showing, meaning he should be holding the iPhone with his right hand.

Somehow hes taking the picture with the Nokia in his left hand and also holding the iPhone in his left hand.
Ever used Photobooth?

The picture isn't reversed in Photo Booth. The image will ALWAYS move right because that's the way the camera look at it. But for the camera that isn't correct and it'll look like your left hand to someone else.

OK. So iSight flips the image instead of showing what the camera actually sees?

(I think my brain is about to explode.) :)

This is definitely more of an issue of people not understanding how a camera works when it's facing you than whether or not it's fake now. We all know it's fake.

Photobooth ALWAYS mirrors the image in live view and you have to change a setting for it to flip the saved image, although you can't unflip the image in live view. In photobooth, if I pick up my left hand, it appears as if my right hand is being lifted in live view because it's mirrored. One would think that apple would keep this as standard in all of their forward-facing cameras.

So yeah, you're wrong.

I agree, it is fake. However it think it's more of a issue of not understading how iSight displays an image versus how a normal camera displays an image.

Can't we just ignore the two left hand scenario that everyone is so tied up on and just focus on the other glaring issues at hand? First, it looks like an iPod Touch. Second, pics are of awful quality and NOT of the back of the device. UI pictures are everywhere for compass and video, but where is my back picture? If he had the freaking device he could post pics of the ENTIRE thing, INCLUDING Settings -> General -> About -> Model!

It could be real, but why stress over the picture. June 8th is nearly here, lol.

Agreed, everyone please ignore my useless banter about 2 left hands and magical gorilla dust and lets get some real NON-BLURRY proof.

:)

That's what I'm saying! You're not understanding or I'm not explaining myself right. My picture says it all. I've been saying this from the start.

the only reason why the photos are flipped for the front cameras is to adjust to placement of objects/subjects. it is so much easier to have it fliped during live view, and then if u need to change it later.

LOL

that second pic makes it SO clear that this is just a first gen iPod touch.

the top isnt showing, its got the same exact black bezel, the smaller home button. and it's clear that you just took the leaked photos from macrumors and uploaded them.

the little square in the bottom left in that post is the same as it is in the OPs first picture.

I think this one nails it.

If its real, then the square in the bottom left should show the same image as whats on the main screen. But it doesnt.

Guys he's just holding a first gen iPod Touch, you can tell by the bezel and the size of the home button.

There is only 1 thing worse than people who tell you they own something that they really don't, and thats people who go online and try to post pictures acting like they own a device that isn't released yet trying to get the e-cred. You sir, fail.
