If you can honestly say that you can go two days without recharging your iPhone, then it must sit powered off. Even if you only use it for phone calls and, do actually talk to people on the phone, it will not last for two days brand new right out of the box. Check the quoted talk-time directly from the Apple specs. Now add in listening to music, push email, surfing the web, texting, and emailing, and there is no way you go two days. So, in response to your response, no I do not have a broken battery.
I have Push, 3G, Location Services and Wi-Fi on all the time. In one day, I make a few calls, I get and send some texts, I get A LOT of emails, browse for a bit and listen to the iPod for at least 3 hours. My battery lasts between a day and a half and two days. If I let it sit, without using it it lasts for at least a week.

Let's compare blackberry shall we?
Blackberry first came out in the late 90's. Guess what it didn't even have phone capabilities. Phone capabilites weren't introduced until 2002, even then you had to use a separate headset to use it as a phone. Guess how many models they had in that period of time?
Guess again, 6 models.
It wasn't until another two models later that the phone capabilities that were "built" in as Blackberry called it at the time. Now surely cell phones existed back then, I know I was paying a monthly fee for something, it had to be for a cell phone.
Let's look at something else, it took BB 20 models to finally include bluetooth. Guess what else, it took them 19 models to offer a color display. better yet it took them 3 models to offer the ability to READ attachments! These were all things that were offered at the preceeding the time these BB models were released by other phones.
It took BB 22 models to include EVDO access and even then it was only available on 1 model; it wasn't until an additional 10 models were released that EVDO became commonplace.
Let's look at how long it took them to add 3G, how long has it been around now? BB didn't offer 3G until AFTER the second iPhone came out with 3G.
I think Apple is doing pretty good. yes there are features I want that are not currently available, guess what that's how life works. If you think you can do better, start your own company and give it a try.

wow....
so you knew the limitations of this thing...... "waited in line for 10 hours to shell out $500"..... and then proceeded to bitch that it didn't have the features that YOU ALREADY KNEW IT DIDNT HAVE. AND THEN YOU WHEN OUT AND BOUGHT THE 3G IPHONE TOO........
here's a basic scenario of you at best buy...
you: hi, i want to buy something that plays blu-ray
employee: ok well let me take you to our blu-ray players
you: but i dont want to buy a blu-ray player... i want to buy a dvd player that plays blu-ray
employee: ummmmmm thats impossible sir
you: i dont care, im buying the dvd player
1 week later you're back at best buy
you: why the hell wont this thing play blu-ray? this is insane!
employee: sir, i told you right to your face it would not play blu-ray but you bought it anyways.... i dont know what to tell you
you: ok..... this is what's going to happen. first, you're going to give me $100 out of your pocket for the dvd player i bought. and then i'm going to buy another dvd player.... and this time it's going to play blu-ray!!!!!!
and i still can't believe that people are complaining about the original price drop and the $100 that apple sent you. 99% of companies on earth would NEVER do anything like this. i actually thought it was absolutely absurd that apple gave us anything at all. do you think that if dell, or hp, or sony, or compaq, or IBM, or acer, or any other company on the face of the earth released some computer for $700 and then dropped the price down to $550 a month later they'd send everyone who bought it for $700 a $100 check in the mail?
Ok, so based on what you just wrote about the evolution of the BB, it took them quite a long time to introduce all of these features into a phone. I'm not going to argue there. However, don't you think a company that introduces all of this top-of-the-line, never-seen-before technology into a phone would be able to include those features that have been around for so long?
Let's just take the landscape keyboard for example. Forget about everything else I mentioned. How can you explain that the phone can do it while browsing web pages in Safari but cannot do it in an email/text message? Ok, maybe they forgot to incorporate that. But do you honestly believe it took Apple two years to figure that out and release a "software update" for it? Which, keep in mind, has not been released yet.

I'll continue to do it until I finally get my front-facing camera for video chat!
That was an interesting read about the BBLet's compare blackberry shall we?

I wonder why Apple didn't do landscape for texting. Very few smart phones have it, and it makes you wonder if Apple saw the other smart phones with "portrait" mode for texting (and other typing) they might have thought they didn't need it or people didn't want it.When it comes to landscape, I'm sure they could have from the beginning, why don't you take a trip down to 1 infinite loop and ask them yourself. If you READ my post to COMPREHEND what I'm typing on this forum you would have noticed that I typed there were features I wanted that weren't yet available. You know what, I knew that when I bought my iPhone, so I won't complain on a forum when something I want isn't already included.
Let's go back and COMPREHEND my post - BB did NOT include features that were standard on phones at the time of their models releases!
I'll be the first one to agree the iPhone IS NOT perfect! Like I said a few lines up, I knew that when I bought. I send my feedback in to Apple and hope it's included in the next release. I've done that since the day I bought it and I'll continue to do it until I finally get my front-facing camera for video chat!
This is just an idea. I thought I would hate portrait texting, but I find it easy and I can also text with one had very easy if I want.
Originally, when I heard the iPhone had a landscape keyboard, I thought it was a great idea, and I wondered why they didn't implement it for email and text. But after using the portrait keyboard for a while because I had to, I find I've gotten used to it, and find the spacing on the landscape keyboard awkward. When landscape email apps came out, I tried a few of them but I found myself almost never using landscape mode. Right now I'm at the point where I use landscape mode to read, and go back to portrait for typing. But I'm sure some people would prefer the landscape keyboard, so it's good that Apple is expanding the option.
Agreed, I find myself reaching to far for letters, and it cramps up my hand.
While I just glide across the screen easily in portrait.
And I'd rather send my picures by email, it is free and way better IMO. Any phone that still have MMS but no email is the fail..
Dude what are you talking about LOL...
3. [Spell Check] Already apart of the iPhone since day 1
