Just from the presentation, it looked even fatter (thicker) to me than the current phones. Not good. The 6S Plus/7 Plus were already too heavy and fat. The original 6 series is a joy to hold compared to the fatter/heavier phones that followed.
Too heavy? I would gladly take a bit more weight for a longer battery life.

There is this thing called the GYM.

I'm seeing many objectionable things about the X in the Apple demonstration. This phone will get a big "no thanks" from me.

That black tab at top: yuck. Face ID looks slow.

Easy to pass on this one. I sense problems galore.

Agree it's ugly looks like screen protector shape. Lol

Here let me do what everyone should do when someone makes a statement like this.

Could u please send links and post concrete situations to support this I'm sure it will be crickets.

What you should have said is "in my opinion"

The opening words "I've noticed..." refer to a personal observation that imply an opinion.

In my opinion I've noticed that it is my friends and acquaintances on the autistic spectrum that don't grasp implied statements. Is that the phrasing you're seeking?

This was very underwhelming. I think I'm going to wait until the 10s once all the kinks are sorted out as I'm sure there will be a lot. I'm also disappointed in the price. I know it was rumored to be in the $1000 range, but this is getting to be too much for a phone.

1159 euro here in Europe, which translate to 1377,55 USD... Almost 1400 USD for a phone here in Europe... this is totally madness! I have a lot of Apple fans in my friends and no one is considering buying the new iPhone... even me, I was so sure I'd get it and now.. I am kinda lost... I like it but not enough I think.

What a epic fail this announcement was. I've been a Apple faithful for almost 20 years. iPhone X should have been the iPhone 8. iPhone 8 the same design and the 6 and 7. BORING. I'll be checking out Samsung Note 8.

I just went to the shop today to check this samsung S8... the phone looks amazing to me. I'm just not sure about the OS Android. Also, it costs 800 euro here, where the new iPhone X costs 1159 euro... 359 euro difference for having iOS11... I don't think it's worth it. But I am still debating the question myself.

I'm on the same boat. Planned to buy the X as its new and would be nice to upgrade the 7Plus I currently have. But the price is insane for a phone. I'll keep the 7 Plus and then I'll see .

I'm quite tempted by the s8+ and the note. Thing is that my past experience with android wasn't that smooth (had a s3 and that was a lagfest. Then again..that phone was laggy and this was years ago and everyone tells me android got much better).

I had the note 7, and before the fire fiasco I loved it. Quick and responsive. Great phone. Bear in mind, I really don’t like Android. If I could get Samsung hardware with iOS I all good

Boring. The innovation went with Steve. He had a talent for envisioning new ways to use technology. I held my 6 an extra year for the promised 10 year anniversary model, and I'm not moved by any of these options.

I'm eyeing the S8 hard. Never thought I'd go Android. Samsung Pay is a big motivator for me. I love Apple Pay, but they dropped the ball. It's rarely accepted. Looks like Samsung is accepted almost anywhere.

Well this stupid phone has convinced me to return my Note 8 and wait for it so definitely not boring IMO! Honestly it is everything I have wanted in a phone: all the advanced stuff that I want out of Android (wireless charging, easier unlocking, AMOLED display, "bezel-less" screen) running on iOS so I can't wait! Now I just have to stress out about when I will manage to get it in my hands :/

All this poll does for me is show me there should be around 100 less people competing for my pre-order ;)

That is so 2015

It may be 2015, but I think it will actually work now.

The thing is that..for most people using iPhones, they are in that ecosystem and don't even know what's outside of Apple.
I bet the average Joe will believe Apple created/invested wireless charging and other things like that. We, in this forum, are aware of the tech world, but we're a minority...

So yeah.. while it might be "boring", it's mind-blowing for others :)

Give me a fatter and heavier phone any day as long as the battery life is stellar. :D

The ipX has a few flaws and the camera bump and the notch make it unattractive.

But boring? I can't say that.
