i used the crashguard for my 7 plus and my X. ordered it for my xs max, but haven't received it yet. I like them because they still show the design and color, but are very protective against drops. I dropped my X way too may times and didnt even have a scratch on the phone

I totally agree.
If I drop my phone, I don’t even bother checking it with the RhinoShield..

By the way in the mean time I put my 7+ on the XS Max and it works perfectly fine for now, they’re pretty much identical size wise, just in case you have yours lying around.

I just wanted to point out a new design by Thanotech.

Thanotech K11 will be available soon in Stainless Steel Gold for both XS and XS Max . I can't wait!! It appears to have matching gold stainless buttons and black TPU lining and smaller finger grips.

Do you think the CrashGuard looked and felt like a huge spare tire on your iPhone X? I felt that way with it on my iPhone 7 and returned it. Of course, on a small phone like the 7, it might look larger...?

Meh, not a fan. Had one for my iPhone X and returned it. Check my replies in this thread about it.

I’m almost set on getting the CrashGuard NX for my iPhone X Silver. Now what color to choose. Black is a safe bet. Royal Blue is nice. I thought about white, but the color is bright white and definitely looks quite bloated on the iPhone X Silver.

It did feel massive on the 7, however I still used it I guess for the protection.
It was much improved on the X, like it felt really really slim.
I just got my shipping notification, I’ll let you know what I think of it for the XS Max.

I’m sure you know this, if you’re looking for a slim and beautiful case, the Apple leather case is absolutely gorgeous and does justice to the size of the phone. Feels great!

Yeah, it seems like RS made a lot of improvements the CG and they are better then they’ve ever been.

I’ve always been a fan of Apple leather cases (also silicone). I like bumpers to show off the back of the iPhone ;)

Yeah, saw this vid. His vids are always great. I haven’t pulled the trigger on the CG yet. I’m still rocking the Pitaka MagCase, which is my favorite minimalist, slim case, but I still want a bumper that’s not as wide as a spare tire. My widest case is the Apple silicone case. I guess the CG is not much wider than the Apple Silicone case. About an ~1/8” or so wider.

He abused the **** out of the phone, it broke after literally terrorizing the phone, and only the camera lens broke probably because of an uneven surface.

Sorry, but leaving the back open is a recipe for disaster. Same fall could happen regardless of how many drops he did. Same result, cracked back or camera. I’ll probably still buy one though :)

No case covers the camera lens. Same concept as using a screen protector on the screen.

I wish Element Case would pick things back up and start building a Sector bumper for the X/Xs. Those were my favorite of all time with great materials, excellent build quality, sturdy, and looked sharp. Disappointed they have moved away from that.

Ordered a Rhino Shield this week. Not sure how I am going to feel about it, but we’ll see.

I ordered the CrashGuard NX for my iPhone X this week (white with royal blue buttons and rim). Got the shipping notification yesterday and it’s been stuck on this status:

Pre-Shipment:
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL 60007 on October 2, 2018 at 12:41 pm

I’m feeling the same way, but we shall see...

Mine is sitting with yours.

I got my shipping email from RS early yesterday morning. I found it odd that the timestamp on the USPS pre-shipment tracking was after the time on the email. Maybe the packages were keyed in RS local time? They are located in Taiwan, but shipped out of the US...

Yep, I got mine for the Xs Max and I love it... didn’t expect anything else:).

I had a problem with my power button, I didn't need to push the button to activate the power button, I could just press around it. They said it was a problem with the button.
They agreed to ship me out buttons and I refused and used last years buttons, they gave me a $5 code instead for anytime.

You guys received yours?

Not yet, it’s scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday. I’m waiting on the CG for my silver iPhone X (white with royal blue buttons and rim).

Sweet! The one for the X/XS is tapered at the center and the one for the Max is not, according to Aaron at MobileReviewsEh. The tapering allows for better access to the screen (better for gestures and swiping I assume). He also said that NX for the X/XS is thicker than the previous version. Hopefully the extra thickness is not a deal breaker for me.
