Just curious what everyones color preference is.

I want to pick up the new apple series 3 watch in stainless steel. and want it to match the phone which the watch in SS is also offered in a black too as well as the silver chrome .

what throws me off, is th fact that on the white model (apple says silver) has a BLACK front.

I'm guessing that scratches on the back will be more visible on the black than on the white. At the same time, I've heard that the black coating on the stainless steel frame is harder to scratch. That said, I agree with Nik - I think it's awesome to be able to get the white version with a black front. It's always been better to frame the screen in black, in my opinion.

You are in for a surprise then: It is not pitch black, it is dark grey.

It's quite black, while the white you were referring to is in fact silver

It is even called Space Grey and not black for a reason. Hold it next to your Black iPhone and you will see what I mean.

Oh look I found a picture of a white iPhone X, even though its supposed to be silver. Get a silver coin, that is silver. The back is white, the surrounding frame is silver.

I have seen it in beautiful realistic images that my colleague at Apple event took. From what I see both are amazing but I recommend black one

Most people have a case on their phone anyway, so the color really doesn't matter. Neither does how easy it scratches.

I never put a case on my phone, so the color absolutely matters to me.

Also, cases on phones all but guarantee that it will end up with micro-scratches as dust, etc, build up inside. This is one of the reasons why my phones, even after a year, are pristine, while my wife's and kids' phones look less-than-new due to those little micro scratches.
[doublepost=1505420933][/doublepost]I haven't decided. My 3G and 3GS were white. Beyond that, I've always had black/space-grey. I really love the matte black on my 7 Plus. That said, the white iPhone X looks amazing, and with the black front, I might just do that. I dunno yet.

are the sides of the black one silver or are they black stainless steel like the watch?

I have a series 2 Apple Watch in the stainless steal and also hope that it perfectly matches on iPhone x in silver, which looks almost white.

Unfortunately, you’re right. Apple uses the cheaply looking gray colors for the first generation, and uses more “sophisticated” shades of gray for subsequent iterations so people can tell old from new. Just look at the original iPhone 6 color and compare it to the iPhone 7 gray color.

Thanks, in that case, I'll probably get the white one. If it's anything like the Apple watch, at least with the silver, you can easily buff any scratches out.
Does the black one have problems with scratches?
