It certainly sounds like I shouldn’t treat you with any seriousness.
You’re a hate troll.
Goodbye.

Apple has admitted its unacceptable. It eventually affects more and more apps in the phone. But apparently you are ok not using your phone as it’s marketed and sold to you since nothing can be perfect.
[doublepost=1519846725][/doublepost]I don't remember who but someone said that the early runs of devices had less of or none of this issue.

I ran into a guy yesterday with a launch X and his device did NOT have the issue.
it was me.
exactly.

I mean if that’s the case then it’s DEFINITELY that they’re using cheaper parts for the later productions. Which is maddening.

Reddit does not want this issue posted on the iPhone forum. I don’t care what the moderator says.. they are FOS. Posts were hidden (I had people tell me link to them wasn’t working) and then I tried to fix and got hammered for double posting. That was nuked because they said the first one magically came back. A video post of issue had upvotes blocked. I watched over 200 upvotes get taken to 0.
[doublepost=1519871953][/doublepost]It’s interesting.. some light crackling in calls that Apple can fix in under 72 hours and ALLLL the news and blogs are all over it.

An issue Apple has acknowledged as real and has no known fix.. Nooooo media is interested. Before the first post on Reddit went missing there were people who had the issue and people who tested and discovered their phone was affected.

That was just a wild guess.
But I can say it happens almost entirely in the later productions. And that this is NOT a small scale issue at all.

I Don't think Apple will fix the issue and its not software cause why would some iPhones have these issues and some don't.

Hey guys, i’m following the thread since the beginning and i share with all of you what is it to paid 1300+€ for a lot of quality defects for this X version (earpiece crackles, pink edge OLED, dust in camera, side buttons not aligned/pushed halfway..).

I’ve the X since day one (preorder) and the « crackles » (not or few clipping / i've tested Night Sky with only one clip coming up with my last X) since the beginning, this was my first reason to ask for a replacement so the earlier production was affected despite what is said above:

- I’ve made like 9 replacements from November to February with the Silver version (Feb was still a late December prod so i know why now they cut off by half their supply orders ahaha) in two different AppleStore (France)
- Only one on the 9 had almost none of the issue but still had
- A friend of mine have the same issue with Space grey, Genius Bar changed the screen linked with the earpiece = still the issue and even worst.. in a different big city.
- For my last, i have a perfect OLED screen but dust in camera and i have to polish the steel (scratches after the opening..). I have decided to let it go because this is cleary a « Beta » iPhone and Apple Q/C is going down (also had a bad experience with the Macbook Pro Retina 2017 with light leaks around the display for 4000€.. / 5 replacements on 6 months for nothing good so far and a lot of talk with AppleCare/Engineers in the void).
- I’m running the iOS 11.3 beta 3 with no improvement.
- The issue is coming in 80%+ sound in native/tierce applications and calls..
- Still hope this a software issue with bad balancing in the frequencies
- I think seriously that all the iPhone X have the issues but 10% people are more sensitive to it (Techies, Geekies, Creatives who have a sense of details..)
- I'm buying Apple products since 2009 with few issues but this time.. i don't know what to say.. that is hitting my customer experience from this brand, the "Wow" is gone.
- Everyone will agrees that if Apple recognized the problem and made the changes / repair on a case-by-case basis with resolution and tracking of the problem, this topic would not even exist. Except that today with bad-buzz websites, the "always more/clickbait" from social networks to relay false information, the brand wants to avoid at all costs bad com especially with the last event of the batteries.
- Only a class action (US) or in EU (more difficult to set up, but what is good in the 2 years warranty of European conformity is that since 2017 it's up to the manufacturer to prove that there is a defect and not the consumer to provide an expertise of the manufacturing defect) could change the way of our claim..
- But for now, we've to wait for the next iPhone generations and hope all those issues of Q/C will be finished.

Today, Apple relies on the notoriety of their products and their ecosystems to hide these defects with a population that follows a trend. But the day or it will not be the case anymore, we (the 10%) who are the pillars of the brand, we will not be there for her anymore.. Apple can pull on the cord a moment but not indefinitely with the customer loyalty.

That will be all. I won't be an ambassador of the brand anymore for now.

I was told to restore the phone and all my Phone has the clipping behaviour as well if that may be hw issue. But why pay $1000 or more for a phone with this issue?. They can't patch a hardware issue.

exactly. Well some units don't have this issue at all.

EXACTLY my point. I spent FIVE months of Good Faith working with them. I tested on every version of iOS and iOS Public Beta. At the direction of the Apple Engineers I even DFU'd my phone and kept ALL non-native Apple applications off of it and tested.

After all of this time my case to Apple was, after all this time, if they cannot fix then I should not be paying for the phone. I requested a refund multiple times. Was denied on all of them.

I have filed a complaint with the FTC but I doubt anything will come of that.

All I want is my $ back so that I can move on until they get their isssh resolved.

my friends iPhone 64GB doesn't have the issue.
Which model?

I don't know what model it is but it was bought at launch day , I agree if they wouldn't replace your phone why wouldn't they offer a refund after all the phone cost more then 1,000 . They released a phone that wasn't quite ready especially with IOS 11. If your going to releases a 1k phone there shouldn't be any of this. I don't think there are enough complaints for Apple to be bothered. They know its an issue but what have they done. They would likely have a software update that "Fixes the issue".

Just want to get an idea of how many have this issue:

I don’t think they’ll be able to fix it with software like at all based on the fact that it’s been 6 months since launch.

They know something is wrong, its like how the iPhone 5, 5s,se had a rattling power button but they haven't fixed it.

EDIT: I have also had my phone freeze i tried to click everything and it wouldn't respond and when it did turn on it started calling emergency service

The latter is probably software.

Any who does anyone have a way to push them to fix this? I mean this is all too annoying.

If you do a screen recording and then replay it the popping won’t be there. So it can’t be sw.
I agree, we have got to sue.

Its been a while i would be surprised if they fixed the issue. Maybe if more people emailed Apple they would fix it.

If they could send me an 8 Plus ..or an X without the issue ...
[doublepost=1519927978][/doublepost]Y’all have nailed it. Going on 6 months. The EL, when I actually started pushing back said that it was not refundable as the issue is software and Apple states in warranty they reserve the right to fix software issues.

I asked then why has it been MONTHS with no fix.

If it was software why has it happened on multiple updates some phones don't have it and some phones do? Apple needs to figure it out. I think it would be a good thing if everyone would email tcook@apple.com. Maybe they will notice its a wide issue

I am not convinced Apple is being honest with me. Claiming software was his ‘legal’ way out of providing a refund.

Yes. Email tcook@apple.com if you have this issue. Feel free to use my YT link as an example or record your own using a second source.

Confirmed issue on iPhone 7, iOS 10.3.3 through iOS 11.3 betas

Phone taken into store, flagged for depot repair (so store cannot repair in house, must ship) - shipped out via UPS by myself next day. Phone returns unrepaired.

Taken into store again, flagged for depot repair again. No override possible. Manager states that if shipped through the store, when it returns they will have "ownership" of the repair and can swap the device if it comes back unrepaired again. Not sure if true, will confirm when if this does occur. Replacement will have the speaker issue most likely (but at least my other issues will be fixed)

Technicians are at least acknowledging the issue as faulty hardware in my case, but the system won't let them do an in store swap or repair, forces to be shipped out for depot, and depot returns unrepaired. If this keeps going in the same ridiculous system I will contact customer relations again (already emailed complaining about the issue previously, with no response)

They acknowledged the speaker clipping as faulty hardware? Will be very interesting to see how your repair/possible replacement goes.

Keep us updated and Thank you.

it's actually not. They're creating their own loophole, yah know, corporations.
The Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act has "implied warranty" which means software, legally. But the way to honor warranty thru that law is 1) repair, 2) replace, 3) refund. US law doesn't say after this many replacements you have to refund or whatnot. But software is covered.
The loophole they made up is, if it's software, I can "repair" thru update, and that way I can "legally" deny you replacement or refund because I can repair it.
But 5 months passed? We notified you in September. It's march. You can't fix this issue obviously.
Now, I live in Canada and have an American phone, in other words I can't sue them. I would if I could and had the money, obviously.
