Thats why we can't give you kids nice things
He used that filthy nail to remove the grey finish
This. I don't believe that article. I use my SP X without a case and I am not gentle. I don't have a scratch anywhere on my phone.
For a $1,000+ device, I don't think (and hope) this would be a widespread issue. At least my SG X has not shown any signs of flaking. I do not have a case on it and I generally take care of my iDevices.
No it hasn't. This is intentional. No flaking has occurred. Someone intentionally scuffed, scratched and marred the phones to see what it would take.
Non issue. Move along.
hahahaha SILVER for the winnnnnn
Yes, it did flake off. If you actually read this thread, you would see that at no time have I ever made a statement as to what the root cause of the finish flaking off is. Because I don't know, and neither do you. Because we don't have the evidence.
There is no evidence of flaking.
I don’t think that word means what you think it means.
This is getting flaking ridiculous...who the flake does that to their own phone? What a flake-up. Hope that flake's phone is flaked for good.
Do people really not have anything better to do then complain about the X? This is getting ridiculous. The entire iPhone sub forum is just filled with this crap. Find a new hobby please.
"gate" immediately loses credibility with me. Nuff said...
yeah you're pretty much asking for trouble if you point to a one off post on a chinese website and add gate to the thread title.
Amen to that
I am returning my Space Grey X
Because the faking.
Where are all the “Glad I went with silver” comments lol. I had the series 2 space black SS and never experienced this. I believe this is blowing out of proportion.
Yes, there is evidence of flaking.
I don't think that words means what you think it means.
The evidence would be flakes.
There are no pictures of flakes, unless you want to post one
It's why I preferred silver X again. Silver also looks nice from a distance while the space gray could fool for any other Android phone if the displays were off. I could care less looking at the rear side of phones. Only with girls.
The finish flaked off.
past tense: flaked; past participle: flaked

"flake the fish"
Please note the above definition does not include “intentionally scratched the $£i! out of the phone to cause removal of paint”
I love these articles!
Like seriously, if you don't want scratches, dings, bending, cracks, etc,
Put your phone in a dam case and call it a day! The internet is becoming a breeding ground for people who just severely lack common sense.
The phones been out for what? 2 weeks! Those devices look like they were thrown in the washing machine. These aren't Samsung Actives, these are honestly delicate devices that yes if you drop it without a case, your screwed!
That phone looks abused, I highly doubt the owner woke up and grabbed his phone and hey what's this...oh man, I got Space Gray on my hand! Come one already!

I see you can buff the silver model if you want to and i really love to see if someone actually done it?
