I thin I am going to have to wait and feel / see in hand. Right now I have far too many concerns and questions. On the other hand the 8 looks like a solid device.

Worth it is ultimately decided by who chooses to buy it. Doesn't seem worth it but potential buyers buy on emotion and not necessarily needs or logic.I thin I am going to have to wait and feel / see in hand. Actually, I ALWAYS use my phone while driving on a highway. Don't forget that now you can buy a car which drives itself on a highway. It can maintain the lane and the speed automatically.Thats because you should NEVER use your phone in the car while driving. It's the number one reason for young people to die. Glad they introduce Do Not Disturb While Driving in iOS 11.
exactly. People who use their phone while driving and if caught won't even have a driving licence anybody here.Such a comment warrants a very late response.
You shouldn't *use your iPhone while driving......Period.
*=not using it except for looking at the screen for navigation purposes.
Well you are very lucky to still have your licence then...If caught you would be banned. Certainly in the UKActually, I ALWAYS use my phone while driving on a highway. Don't forget that now you can buy a car which drives itself on a highway. It can maintain the lane and the speed automatically.
Huh? Did you see the same conference? The faceid worked just fine. You always have to type in your I'd when you reboot an iPhone....even with touchID. Not sure why it's a big deal when faceID mimmicks the same behavior. I think you may be just trolling the issue. Its not like FaceID can be unlocked with a photo like some other $1000 dollar phones that won't be mentioned. The Fanboyism here is garishly disturbing. The FACE ID failed in the demo and yet everyone is applauding it.
This will not be easy to use in the car while driving at all. Nobody is even mentioning that.
For me in the US, it's be $1,349 plus tax.As much as I want it, I just can't justify $23,499 MXN on a phone![]()
My complaint about Face ID is the unnecessary extra swipe upward required to unlock and show the home screen.
Certain laws are not enforceable or not enforced. Besides, I can argue, that I am not really driving while using the phone. My car is driving on autopilot.exactly. People who use their phone while driving and if caught won't even have a driving licence anybody here.

Who knows. That is a software decision so they could possibly do that in an update.Again, everyone wanted it to look like this:![]()
Instead we get a hindrance on screen ****ing come on.. this is your anniversary phone. It would've been flawless that way.
It doesn't go straight to the home screen?

Wow you're an idiot. I hope you crash (without hurting anyone else) just so you learn your lesson.Actually, I ALWAYS use my phone while driving on a highway. Don't forget that now you can buy a car which drives itself on a highway. It can maintain the lane and the speed automatically.

I kind of agree. Sometimes I just want to see the notification screen when I pick up my phone and face I'd would go straight to the appsI prefer it doesn’t. It’s like picking my current iPhone now and not putting my finger on Touch ID. Sometimes I just want to quickly glance at the screen to see notifications. With what you both are suggesting, that would be impossible.
That ought to come in handy while in the operating room.

Interesting how someone with common sense is called a peasant. What do you call people who can't actually afford the phone but finance it for 3 plus years?
