Ordered my iPhone X 12:03PM and received the wonderful November 3rd order confirmation email. I was really excited until I noticed everyone getting their shipping information except me. Checked the apple store app and saw my order was pushed to Nov 17- Nov 24!!! Apple support said they can't do anything and supervisors wont get back for another 2/3 days. Anyone else have this issue?

Yes but mine was due to an AT&T issue that I was partly to blame for. I didn't see the 'reservation' screen really and blew past it trying to complete an order. I did eventually at 1:40 or so. I also finished the 'reservation' later that morning. This apparently caused AT&T to vapor lock and hold up my upgrade eligibility. Apple cancelled the order with the later delivery but things were still stuck on AT&T's side. This evening mine slipped to 11/15-11/24. I wish I could get the phone Friday but mid-November is still better than post-December. Hang in there! We might get bumped up a bit. :)

I actually spoke to the AT&T rep the day before to get everything squared away with my account. I even had the Nov 3 delivery date for the past few days, and received no other information on the reservation.

Exact same boat here. Was on the phone with Apple and ATT for over 3 hours today trying to find out why. From what I learned there is a very small group of people that the system did not process the upgrade eligibility and the orders could not be completed in time for a 11/3 shipment window as originally promised. I had to call ATT and get escalated to have the issue corrected. But even after doing that I still got bumped back and have to wait for an Apple supervisor to call me back.

Very upsetting and also the percentage of people affected by this odd issue is extremely small so most phone reps do not know what to do or tell you.

The outcome... we are SOL for a 11/3 delivery. Just going to have to wait until the 17th-24th and hope they upgrade shipping for those of us once the issue is fixed.

Im leaving for training on the 24th and will be gone for several months, so for me, not getting the phone within a few weeks means I basically wont see it until well into next year when I come home. Really sucks :( It was going to be a going away present for myself lol.

Not to call the OP’s story into question, but I do hope it has something to do with some kind of issue with his/her billing or something we’re not being told.

If not, then we could be seeing more of this and it could mean yield issues, and that would sort of jibe with the Apple’s by-the-seat-of-their-pants nature of this release.

One would assume that the preorder batch was assembled, tested, deemed functional, and sealed in a box before ordering even went live, but a seemingly arbitrarily renegged ship date speaks of production or fulfillment problems.

That actually really sucks! Hopefully it gets resolved!

Its a system issue on ATTs end. In the event you had a reservation email but tried to order a second time it confused their system and halted the upgrade. Really stupid system glitch

Hopefully Apple can do something to compensate you. Sounds like you should have gotten it on the 3rd. This is something that carries stores usually do, not apple. Was there a email mismatch or something that caused this? I'm glad I can track mine and it's on the way from Alaska to Memphis so I know I'm good. I hope you get something for your hassle.

I wish I had a billing problem, because then I could easily blame it on my own stupidity. However, I took so many precautions with AT&T with triple checking my upgrade eligibility and making sure all my bill were zeroed out.

My confirmation email came through immediately as I made sure my apple id and att accounts were squared away. I think something may have happened in the communication between AT&T and Apple though

I actually had zero problems/glitches with my order at the time. I placed one order and it went through really easily, which is why i am so surprised.

Mine was squared away too -- I even paid my bill a few days early to make sure I was at $0 just in case. What I was told by Apple was that it could take up to 24 hours for AT&T to release my eligibility. Prior to that all that Apple could say was "Contact your carrier" and when I would call AT&T they said "We have no idea what they are talking about. We see a pending upgrade for your phone and since you ordered through Apple we don't have any more information on it." I spent all of yesterday on the phone with both of them only to get bumped today. Hoping I get lucky but on the phone with Apple this evening I asked if there was any chance of a delivery Friday and she was at least honest and said that she was pretty certain I would not get the phone Friday.

Curiously, an Apple rep removed the hold on one of my first calls and almost immediately my order went to PFS. A couple hours later it flipped back to processing again so I called only to find it had to be escalated.

My biggest frustration was that though there was a hold and pending cancellation if I didn't clear things up with my carrier I was not notified by Apple at all. No indication that anything was amiss besides the fact that my order was still processing Monday and there was no charge on my account. Had I not called it probably would have cancelled altogether.

Geeez! That's the most annoying thing, especially so close to the launch date! I think we may be in the same boat, and it may become a blame game between Apple and AT&T. Still hoping to get bumped though!

^ This right here is the biggest reason why I'm upset. There was some type of issue and they were not going to tell me until it was cancelled. Then I think about all those people out there that do not follow this forum and have no idea that they need to contact Apple ASAP to stop the order from cancelling. I almost guarantee that over the next few days we will see a ton of posts "My Order cancelled without notice!"

If you don’t mind me asking, what state are you in.

I was thinking the same thing as I was typing it out -- my delightful obsessiveness with this event every year saved me a lot of frustration. Hopefully there will be a survey of some kind and I'm considering an email to Tim Cook but I want to see how things go first. I'm working with someone right now to get it resolved and I don't want to go over anyone's head and get their cage rattled while they're doing what they can for me (and that's not to imply I can pitch Tim Cook out of his barcalounger with an email...). I was told all day yesterday "you have a confirmed delivery date for Friday and we're going to do what we have to to make that happen."

Then tonight...

Mine still says preparing for dispatch, scheduled for 11/05-11/06 delivery. Hope it doesn't change. My sincerest sympathies with those affected by this tragedy - hang in there, or prepare to stand in line. :/

Your sympathy goes a long way
