Haha me too! I knew mine had shipped even despite the Apple site still saying "preparing to ship" because I've been tracking it through MyUPS but still I checked on it again to make sure everything was okay!
So far even though the Apple website doesn't list my phone as shipped, UPS says differently!

"Last Location: Departed - Anchorage, AK, United States, Tuesday, 10/31/2017"

And still on course for an 11/3 delivery so far.

Yea I was wondering if the OP saw that at one time. The delivery date pushed back.

This is the reason why I say shame on apple for really trying to bypass everything and do it all in one shot via the web or app.

In years past it's always been very simple, you get on line or the app, they check you out briefly and allow you to reserve a phone and pick a time to drop into the store to pick it up, and that where payment, a credit check etc take place. This year they really tried to narrow it down to the reps really having to do nothing when people showed up for their phone and that just jammed up alot of time as people were vying to get a phone for longer periods of time.

For ordering and having it delivered I get it's a little more intuitive as they need to verify billing and eligibility, but to me it just looks like apple really dropped the ball this year, and I just really feel its a crap shoot and they want as much hype as possible.

Only Apple can get away with this stuff.

No tracking.

Have you tried the UPS trick by reference number?

Enter your Apple order number and take off the last 2 digits in the reference tracking and choose your country of delivery.

I was in the same exact scenario as to today. A great member pointed me to this process and it has been with a status since 10/30 in China and now in Hong Kong on its way to Alaska!

Worth a shot!

You're going to have it before you know it. And maybe even sooner then its saying. Hang in there, buddy. It really sucks that it went down that way. Just the way the carries do things makes me nervous. It just seems to me like they aren't on the same page as apple when it comes to these big launches. I can't even count the number of carrier horror stories I've read over the years. I don't even consider using anyone but Apple for a iPhone pre-order. No carriers, best buys, target, walmart, etc. Way too risky. Good luck. I really hope your order gets bumped up!

Exact same issue. 5 hours ago Preparing for Shipment for 11/3, now Order in progress 11/15-11/17. So mad at Apple.

WHAT!! I would be freakin out! It just changed a few hours ago? Have you tracked it? It should have been moving already.

Yes but mine was due to an AT&T issue that I was partly to blame for. I didn't see the 'reservation' screen really and blew past it trying to complete an order. I did eventually at 1:40 or so. I also finished the 'reservation' later that morning. This apparently caused AT&T to vapor lock and hold up my upgrade eligibility. Apple cancelled the order with the later delivery but things were still stuck on AT&T's side. This evening mine slipped to 11/15-11/24. I wish I could get the phone Friday but mid-November is still better than post-December. Hang in there! We might get bumped up a bit. 🙂

That stinks! All the loop holes they put us through to get the phone in those fast paced seconds when it opens. Att always locks up and won’t verify carrier info and then your in limbo. Happened to me last year when o ordered from Att and said I wouldn’t do it again because I was pushed back 3 week.

How many times do people have to tell you, order direct from Apple! The carriers are incompetent, they would find a way to screw up dirt if they were put in charge of it.

I did order direct from Apple but if they can't get the upgrade info from the carrier... nothing that can be done except switch but they all have their issues. Maybe I'll spend next year rolling my change and just buy it outright to avoid any contact with AT&T beyond activation.

So I get the Apple site initially showed 11/3 delivery. But did the ups site change from 11/3 to whatever your new date is?

Did you order through the reservation ticket?
Yes and it promised me 11/3. Bunch of liers.

The UPS site never even showed my order even after trying my phone number, order number with last two digits backspaced, typing in my address. Nothing.

Sorry Bro

Ordered my iPhone X 12:03PM and received the wonderful November 3rd order confirmation email. I was really excited until I noticed everyone getting their shipping information except me. Checked the apple store app and saw my order was pushed to Nov 17- Nov 24!!! Apple support said they can't do anything and supervisors wont get back for another 2/3 days. Anyone else have this issue?

I’ve said this like a Million Times. Apple Says the launch Date is November 3 but Legally they are only selling about speculation maybe 200,000 Phone On November 3. The reality is most stock won’t be shipped or ready until 3-4 Weeks which is the average people are reporting. Why for 2 reasons
#1. A December 10th release date looks bad.
#2. Even if Apple sells just 3 phones on November 3rd nationwide technically that was the Launch

I really don’t get why People get duped into Pre-ordering and giving Apple a $1,000 x 2 Million 4 week interest free loan. If you get charged fully for pre ordering.

I'm seeing at least 6 or 7 people in this thread alone with this issue. That makes me think that there's got to be a lot of people affected by it, but they just don't realize it yet.

The worst part is I originally had an in store pickup for November 3. But I cancelled that because the reservation email said they would ship it and deliver on nov 3, saving a 30 min drive.

Chiming in to say I'm in the exact same boat, except that my phone is with Verizon. Absolutely no indication of any point of a problem on Verizon's end. Waiting to be called back by a senior support agent.

Oddly, I was told that all supervisors are unreachable because they're busy with some sort of internal Apple special event. I normally wouldn't put much stock in this offhanded comment from a first-tier support employee, but at one point someone did try to transfer me to an escalated tier and I instead received a recorded message saying that the employees were off-duty to watch an Apple Keynote, and I could watch too on the Apple livestream site (obviously an old message, or else someone selected it as a generic "out of the office" notification). The call then disconnected without transferring me.

Maybe it's an emergency triage all-hands session, where instructions for how to make things right for us are being disseminated to supervisors? I also heard offhanded mention of something like a free case or free charging pad from one support employee, and another kept making oblique strongly hinted references to "making it up to me somehow" when I eventually get called back. However, I'm being quoted 24-72 hours for that callback time which would make me SOL for a resolution by 11/3.
