Seems like everybody on the iPhone upgrade program are the only ones with the dates being moved up. They are being made priority which i understand but its not fair.

Of course is fair. They’ve made a commitment, and Apple is fulfilling the commitment. Very fair.

Mine was scheduled for November 17-24, and this morning I woke up to an email that said it had shipped for delivery on the 8th! Then I checked UPS tracking, and it'll actually be here Monday the 6th.

Well done, Apple. I much prefer "under promise, over deliver" instead of "over promise, under deliver".

For reference, mine is a 64gb silver AT&T model, ordered on the iPhone Upgrade Plan.
Yes i had same dates as you as of last night and woke up to same delivery date. A few links even said November 6. And then later got my mail regarding the return box for my 7plus. It says that I have till November 20 to return old phone. Given that we have 14 days to return says to me that the November 6 date I saw in some places maybe the actual delivery. Well it’s shipping from Foxconn so expect it to leave China by late today so given my experience in other deliveries that they could get here by 6th

It’s been my experience Apple under promises and over delivers in most cases. A 5-6 week lead time is more like 3-4 in Apple terms.

This is actually pretty impressive. The news prior to release was all about how supply would be constrained well into 2018, but it seems like the opposite. It felt like the 7 release had worse supply than the X. Sign of poor sales?

Anecdotally speaking I know a lot of people aren't buying the X OR 8 that would normally purchase a new iPhone this time of year. It's kind of a perfect storm because the 8 is really a 7S which is a very old design and the X is an ultra expensive smartphone that has FaceID which many people don't want and it has most of the same internals as the cheaper 8.

It's a bit of a confusing product lineup compared to previous years. With that said I got the 8 and happy with it.

Mine was set to ship between Nov 16-24 but it shipped this morning.

Apple says delivery Nov 8 but UPS says it will deliver Nov 6. I ordered Space Gray 256gb thru the iPhone Upgrade Program. Great news this AM!
Same thing as you. November 8 but Apple says 6th and the return box mail says that my return has to be sent or received by 20 so I am thinking the 6th is what apple is assuming.
UPDATE: UPS also confirming November 6!!

My phone was originally set to ship between 11/17 - 11/24 and yesterday it changed to 11/16 - 11/24. Woke up this morning to an email saying that my phone had shipped with an 11/8 delivery. Tracking on the UPS site still shows it as 'clearance in progress'. Looking at my bank account, I have a charge from Apple Online Store.

Ordered from: Apple Store App via iPhone (didn't get in until 2:12am central)
Pre-approved Apple IUP
Carrier: Verizon
Model: 256gb Space Grey

Same for me. Space Grey 256gb ATT phone

Can I pay off the iPhone 7+ and keep it instead of returning? I think there is about $450 left on apple Upgrade and it seems like it would be more beneficial to do so and hand it down since it is in mint condition.

I pre-ordered 256GB Space Gray (GSM) through the iPhone Upgrade program about an hour after pre-orders began. Original delivery date was estimated to be Dec. 5 - Dec. 11. Checked my order this morning, and it is now saying Nov. 16 - Nov. 24.

Mine departed Alaska late afternoon on Hallowe'en... and the plane seems to have vanished. There hasn't been an update since.

Same here. However I did just check following tracking links from email to apple site to ups and it just updated.

Louisville, KY, United States 11/02/2017 11:09 A.M. Import Scan
Anchorage, AK, United States 10/31/2017 4:30 P.M. Departure Scan

"I knew I shoulda taken a left turn at Albuquerque." -Bugs

They're going to have to beat feet to make it from Louisville to my front door by tomorrow afternoon.
Still marked as on time.

You mean me paying 1550€ upfront for a 256GB iPhone X plus Apple Care+ is not a bigger commitment then paying 1330$ in 24 monthly payments (Apple care included)?

This is my experience as well. My wife's hopefully will do this tomorrow, as there was an old credit card number on file for the tax and initial payment, we fixed that and now hers is still in "order in progress".

Ours were both 256GB Space Gray's for AT&T, ordered on the IUP.

My original delivery date was 12/5 to 12/11, I got a shipping notification today and Apple says 11/8, the UPS tracking number shows 11/6 delivery.

And now UPS changed the delivery date to “Information Unavailable” as it appears to have hit Chinese customs before leaving the country.

Ordered via apple store app 03:07 ET 64GB/Silver/Verizon device payment plan. Originally quoted 11/10-17 delivery. Updated a few days later to 11/3 del. Pretty sure apple has been first come first served this entire time. I'm planning to join the apple IUP on the next go around.

What do you do for fun? What makes you happy? What are your hobbies? To these people, sitting outside the Apple store to be one of the first to get the new phone is fun for them and makes them happy. Everyone has different joys in life, for them it's being around other Apple enthusiasts and potentially being one of the first to snag up the new device. It shouldn't be that hard to understand.
Yes, this entirely.
Anything people have a passion for they will find time for.
It isn't anyone elses place to say what another person should or shouldn't spend their time on, just let them be them.

When we can just except another person for who they are, a whole lot of negative crap just falls away.

Personally I'll be at the office with my eyes glued to the reception area door tomorrow.
In my hurry to order I didn't change my shipping address and my default is my office and we are generally closed on Fridays.
But this guy will be at work, alone, bright eyed and bushy tailed waiting for that ups man/woman.

Euro news. France. Preordered at 0901 (took about 10 mins, old post address, damn) order confirmation at 0932 with delivery date of 30/11.

Just got an email, shipping tomorrow between 0800 - 1300. Oh yeah.

Done with Orange.

Same here! Originally 17-24, then 16-24, now Monday! :) IUP 256GB Silver T-Mobile.

Same exact situation as you in terms of delivery estimates and IUP, except I'm 256GB Space Gray AT&T. I had a feeling Apple would bump the delivery date, but didn't think it'd be this much! Very pleased and can't wait for Monday!

I know this is whining but I am getting a little pissed at Apple as a German. Not only are we paying for hard and software we can’t actually use (Apple Pay), have a higher price due to exchange rate shenanigans and can’t participate in the iUP programm, it now feels like we have to wait to longer so that American citizens get their phone early. I mean 21 - 28 is not 2 - 3 weeks like Apple says, but 4 - 5. Why aren’t we speed up?

Yea, I know how it feels. It pisses me off that I have to pay more for my Mercedes E-class here in the US than Germans pay in Germany, and the new model roll out is generally a year later than in Europe.

At least Apple didn’t put pollution control defeat software on the iPhone X. :D

I got a Best Buy preparing update. Until last night I wasn't even sure they were going to sell me anything now.

Same here I was thinking they would move to the next increment from 16-24th but moving this soon is also pleasing to me. Almost thru customs and my UPS account says ready to depart China soon ;-)
