Mine keeps giving me an error when it tries to verify with Verizon, stating the PIN does not match?? But the lines only are filled with my cell number, billing zip and last 4 of my social.

is there still time for me to enroll to the IUP?
How can I join the iPhone Upgrade Program?
You can join the iPhone Upgrade Program online or at an Apple Store when you purchase an iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or iPhone X. You cannot join the program by calling Apple.

Call Verizon they will ask you for your pin and you can confirm it is what you think it is to access your account

Not an existing IUP member. Looks like I'll be sticking to AT&T next....although I really wanted to switch over.

I called them, but again when I never asked what the PIN is, it just prefilled my cell number, billing zip and last 4 of my social.

I am At&t, so probably different, but my first screen for carrier approval was cell number, billing zip, last 4 of social, and after that I had the next screen for my accounts pin number.

Good to go! Planning to play in the Hunger Games insanity on pre-order night. But if things go sideways and delivery slips past December, I'll just hang onto my 7+ until next September. I'm already a couple of extra payments in at this point with the X delay, so I might as well just sell the 7+ next year outright.

Hang on, I'm already on the IUP and I pay via automatic withdrawal from my bank account. Now they want a credit card? And I can't use my debit card? I am not interested in putting this charge on a credit card every month.
That's to run the credit check and pay the initial payment. After you purchase the phone you can go into your account and change it to deduct the monthly payment from your bank account.

Did it for the 8 Plus, when you are able to get in the App Store once they open, at the top you will see complete your upgrade. Then you just complete it and you are done very quickly.

They have always wanted a credit card, you can just change it through Citizens One after the first payment.
Thanks

I'm also pre-approved. How exciting. I hope it isn't such a **** show this year. Last year I had to go through the biggest loophole of life to get my 7+ lmao. I still get a headache thinking of everything I did to get my phone.

Whether approved or not, Apple makes this process very simple. I decided not to change from the Verizon program, but I'll likely order through the Apple app as I can save my configuration, click continue, select payment method, and done. It really shouldn't take long for anyone. Good luck all!

All set, lets hope its like the iphone 8 was for my wife, easy peasy lemon squeezy. Wakeup, hit submit, back to bed before I can snore.

Can you say a bit more about what the actual process was like on preorder night for the 8, after you were pre-approved? When you opened the app to order, was there a banner at the top that you clicked to complete your order? Or do you have the go through and start ordering the phone first before it recognizes you're pre-approved?

It should be the same for anyone who has their configuration saved. You just won't have to wait for your loan to be approved. Probably hit continue and one more button to confirm. Same for everyone who saves their configuration. Should be pretty simple.

apple/citizenone bank happens to use equifax for credit check. i am not going to unfreeze my equifax credit report until equifax enables me lock/unlock the report at will. too bad. no iPhone X yet
