iPhone X Pre-Orders Sell Out as Shipping Estimates Slip to 5-6 Weeks [Updated]

I was able to score 256 Black for pickup on Nov 3 but really wanted the silver. It’s going in a case so who cares.

White seemed to go the quickest.
 
1203pt my came online. In the cart for pickup next Friday. Awesome. Apple Pay issue on a newly verified card, and thus phone number needed to be corrected when I tired to checkout, and times slipped to 2 weeks shipping. No more than a minute.

So, no go for me. Don’t trust shipping times and not desperate for the device. Will take my chances with an Instore pickup in upcoming weeks, as unlikely as that is to be much quicker (though AirPods worked out better for me by waiting for I store rather than shipping).

That surprised me. I thought it would go more slowly than the space gray.
 
MY zip code is off by one digit (2nd to last number) because the app decided I needed to re-enter the shipping and billing addresses. This is something I should be able to easily change before shipment right? Worst case I can use UPSE my choice to send it to the nearest hub and hold for pickup, but I wanted to ask the experts. Thanks.
 
My credit card declined using Apple Pay (fraud protection), but I got a confirmation email from Apple. I called the CC company and they lifted the block, but told me to have the merchant re-process the transaction. Will they try to re-run the charge when shipping or did this pre-order essentially not go through at all?
 
I think 4 to 5 weeks after an hour is very good, was expecting much worse. I managed to get on Apple's website a minute after the preorder time and have got a November 3rd receive date. Either there was more stock than rumored or the iPhone X wasn't as popular as expected. I put my money on the first option. All this fear and it looks like there really was enough time to get one if you really wanted one release day.

Well you were luck to get in that fast it took me until 12 past hour before the apple store app would let me in by the time my quite preapproved order was done (that was painless) my 256 space gray was at 2-3 weeks November 17-24 I do not think they had that many, it seemed some got in early on the app but others of use waited 2-3 times as long before we got in. I am not pleased with it but at least it is not months
 
I went with the least popular iphone 10 according to the poll here and got the silver 64gb. Even though I always go the biggest capacity phone available like I did for the iphone 7+ and 8+ I only use 16gb and no way was I going to risk waiting weeks or months to get one so ill just the silver 64gb on nov 3 and be happy.
 
So I purchased an iPhone X on Verizon's website first, then followed that by another purchase on Apple's website. Both situations I was required to put in my carrier info, but both went through no problem. Is this going to be an issue?
 
Haha no one wants to buy it on Sprint’s crap network.
Actually I’ve been trying to for an hour and it keeps failing. I think that’s why so many are available. No one can get through to the sprint server to check their account.

It likely will be canceled from Apple even though your pre-order went through. You Likely will have to re-order.

They don't actually bill you until the item ships. I'm hopeful you will be okay. I would call in the AM or use the chat feature to confirm.
 
I hope the 1-4 week shipping gets better. It's happened before with other products that are delivered earlier.
