Was ready to order but neither App or website would work for 12 minutes.. Anyone else have that problem?

I'll just wait until next model now. Apple Fail.

It slipped "Drastically" for me because I would get through the whole process, up to entering credit card info then Apples website would go down or unable to connect or Sorry unknown error or cannot connect to carrier. I know they were lots of orders coming in but error after error etc. etc. just got old and old quick. Started the 2-3 weeks but ended up with 4-5 weeks because of all the errors.
Congratulations on those that got theirs pre-orders in early. I hope the phone lives up to the hype and everything runs smoothly.

So sorry to read that.... makes my heart hurt. Probably not as much as Apple's heart, but still...

Lots of in store Verizon/Sprint model pickups available on launch day 11/3 at every store near me in South Florida - make sure you check.

I guess they didn't make very many with the Intel modems.

I went thru preapproval process Monday but the App Store didn’t work for me until 17 min after the hour. Says delivers Nov 17-24. Wife is on AT&T next and I did thru app as well but it kept telling me her password was wrong. Finally finished at 3am CT with delivery saying 4-5 weeks. It was the worst preorder experience for me.

If you ordered by a carrier, don't take their word that you'll get it on launch day.

Did that with Vodafone UK last year - they waited UNTIL launch day to email saying they didn't have stock. Got one through apple this time for delivery on 3rd!

64GB Space Grey - was going to go for the 256GB but then checked my current (128GB) 7 - I'm only using 14GB as I stream everything now. Kinda ironic now that the base models have higher storage, I'm actually using less storage than I used to!

UK app started responding for me at approx 08:04. Managed to grab 256 Black for launch day, but wanted in-store pick up as I know I can’t be at home all that day. The in-Store process borked and I lost my slot :(

Ordered home delivery 2-3 weeks which I actually think is pretty good given the doom-and-gloom over initial availability.

Apple regularly come in early, too. My S3 SSSB Watch was delivered more than a week in advance of estimate.

lol@people losing their minds because their newly ordered phone, thats basically no different from their current phone, ships a week or two later than other people's. The insanity Apple has cultivated is really impressive.

Pre-order supplies of the new iPhone X are now largely sold out, with the new iPhone models displaying shipping estimates well beyond the November 3 launch date. All models from all carriers at the moment list shipping estimates of four to five weeks in the United States, although some Sprint models can still be ordered for November 3 in-store pickup depending on the store. Other countries have similarly delayed shipping estimates.

Ahead of iPhone X pre-orders, rumors suggested supplies would be heavily constrained due to ongoing production issues with everything from the TrueDepth camera module to the flexible printed circuit board for the device's antenna.

With pre-order supplies of the iPhone X exhausted, some customers could be waiting for months to get their hands on one of Apple's new devices. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes Apple will not reach supply/demand balance for the iPhone X until well into the new year.

Apple began accepting pre-orders for the iPhone X at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time on Friday, October 27, and it took just minutes for shipping estimates to start slipping. Shipping times are likely to get longer over the course of the next few hours as pre-orders continue to trickle in.

Customers who are hoping to get an iPhone X on launch day but weren't able to get a pre-order in early enough can try their luck waiting in line for a new device on launch day, Friday November 3.

Customers who were able to place an early iPhone X pre-order will begin receiving their devices starting next week.

I ordered, money got withdrawn from bank at 9:03, but still my status saying 'Order placed'. While I was ordering, it was on 3th of November, and I ordered within 2 minutes. Does 'Order Placed' mean that I get that time as well? How long does this status take..

I think all the short supply rumors were off. I'm guessing they had plenty due to the later release date.

On a side note, this was by far the easiest pre-order I have been a part of. Apple got it right this time around for the Upgrade Program folks.

Managed to get mine at 8:01 this morning through EE and at a slightly reduced price. I hope being one of the first my shipping doesn’t slip. Very excited.

The system takes a few hours to update on launch night. You should be good.

Waited at least 10 minutes for the app to finally start working, and then when it did, I got a bunch of errors. By time it finally worked, my space gray 64GB model through the Upgrade Program was pushed back to the 11/17-11/24 delivery window. Now I’m waiting for some sign that the order actually worked. So far, I have a screenshot of the order number, but still no sign of a confirmation email or anything in my order history an hour later.

Idk if other people had this problem but on t mobiles site I think the server crashed cuz only the iPhone 8 and 7 were showing up then suddenly at 1:05 the iPhone X popped up. And I got it and it says estimated delivery is 11/3. I was about to give up. I got 64 GB in black.

Got two 64gb through T-Mobile. Had no problems, no waiting, got through immediately.

Well, I scored one for my wife’s birthday, but I’m a little confused — although I paid outright, it still asked me for her info, like telephone number, billing zip, and last 4 of her social, which I didn’t know.

Instead, I had to go back and enter all of my own data... this phone isn’t attached to my account now and incapable of being ported to her, is it? I’m just confused as to why they even asked for my info at all.

I’m buying their phone; of course I need a carrier to use it, but since Apple isn’t one, I don’t understand why they’re asking for my info.

Gosh I’m so happy with the configuration I went with ! And that I got it on launch day!

it's more different than it's been in 3 years though so maybe that's enough?

Can still get sprint on launch day pickup. T-mobile unlocked wasn't offered for launch day, began at Nov 17th delivery, which is sooner than they usually offer unlocked though because the carriers like to get people into money sucking contracts first.

For me website came up 10 mins before app, but since others got in the app first it does seem like they were slowly rolling out access.
