Just got this after using the Anker one, and love it. It covers the notch at the top and only has space for the speaker at the top. FaceID has worked without any issues and the ambient sensor at the top works flawlessly. Gives the best look in my opinion. Was apprehensive at first but am really impressed with it. I was happy with the Anker as well, but having the notch not covered bothered me. The one posted in the link gives a clean look!

Also considered the iCarez one that also covers the notch (leaves the sensor above the speaker open though), but the one posted above had quicker shipping options.

Does it come with an alignment tool? If not how easy is it to match up exactly with the speaker?

I’ve just seen on LeicaDad’s youtube channel the first X screen protector that doesn’t make me cringe, the iCarez with black bezel (but case friendly and not too close to the border), FaceID behind the glass and only a slit for the speaker.
That begs the question: why others manufacturers bothered to create those unsightly holes on FaceID designs if FaceID works thru glass? (edit: probably because of no previous access to iphone X hardware, so iCarez gambled or waited)
Anyway I just wonder why iCarez put that little gap in the black bezel above the speaker slit. Still, that’s my current favorite glass protector...it would be perfect if it worked with an Otterbox Symmetry with zero gap (or close to zero) between the glass and the case lips...fully protected iPhone X with zero cringey details...

This is the video I’m talking about

I'm about to order this just out of sheer curiosity. It looks like a really good solution for case users.

I also don't have any complaints with the i-Blason I have on my IPX right now. There is no Face ID obstruction and touch sensitivity is fine. I'm hoping iCarez has a better coating though.

Just ordered one on amazon. It’s also 30% off with the discount applied at check out!

Yea, that bothered me too. I ordered an I-blason and another brand called icarez that do not have these ugly circles.

What’s the discount code?

I am going to try icarez now as I have been testing out the full screen ones. I have a zoetouch from amazon which had no bubble issues but has the holes at the top which look bad and dust gets into the notch easily. It also cover the screen a bit, but I think they all do. Otherwise it is great and was super cheap thanks to Vipon. I tested i-blason and the one i got would not adhere to screen in multiple places so they are sending me another. I also have one thats a copy of the Tozo and it is horrid.

Tried fitting the orzly screen protector. There are some spots I can’t get to stock down so maybe this first one isn’t quite flat? But first impressions aren’t great

The edge to edge coverage seems good and it doesn’t seem to affect FaceID. But it has very rough edges, so swiping from off screen isn’t pleasant at all.

Is the Orzly supposed to have rounded edges?

My issue with the Orzly is similar to what others have posted... the rough edges certainly, but more than that the CRAP oleophobic coating! I can't believe, actually, that more people haven't mentioned that? The screen protector works certainly - and I think it's better than anything with a cut-out over the FaceID part - but the smudging.... UGH. o_O

Ok so when combined with a caudabe lucid clear, the sharp/rough edges on the orzly are less noticeable. So I might try that combination for a while.

Thinking the following options could be good for me

- slim clear case plus screen protector

- no case, glass protector front and back (need a full coverage rear glass..)

- opaque case like Apple leather/silicon and no screen protector.

So are people having success with the icarez . Basically is the quality good enough to adhere to entire screen. This is the main issue with these.

Been using the Orzly screen protector for a few days. It was a near perfect install, and I didn’t notice the holes for the true depth camera sensors and cameras at the top until I saw it mentioned here. But it’s true - without the scene protector u can’t really see those holes. But with them, in the right light it is more prevalent. It doesn’t bother me at all (I think I like it), but I can see how someone might not want that.

Face ID works just as good as it did without any protector, even though it has to go through the protector now.

Personally, I’d be more bothered by the glass cut around the true depth camera than the black holes.

What do y’all think of the gpel? I had one on my 6+ and it was the nicest glass I had. It never broke and the glass was as smooth as the original screen. It was made of Corning Accessory Glass and I noticed the IPhone X version by gPel is made of a different Japanese glass. Has anyone tried it? I ordered one. Should be here tomorrow!

Received the i-Blason today. The alignment tool was pretty useless for me, but I’m happy with the protector itself and do prefer it over other protectors with the black notch and sensor cutouts. It fits fine with my case (Evutec Ballistic Nylon).

I’d take photos but I already packed my iPhone 7 for trade in and don’t really have a decent camera.

Got the Bodyguardz Pure 2. It comes with an alignment tool, went on perfect, case friendly and I love it.

The iCarez one here:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075F76MFQ/?tag=macrumors-20

does not fit properly. I returned.

The one that comes in the 2 pack fits better (shown in video)

Good to know. I couldn't figure out what the difference between the two was so ordered the two-pack. What is the difference that causes this one to fit differently than the two-pack in the video?

AH had a drop today and thank god for the Spigen Glasr
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075LNBPSM/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_x_P21bAbJDSR7B8

it has a rainbow effect around the edges but put it on til a GREAT one comes out

That is the kind of drop I fear most -- between your screen protector and case there was no damage to the iPhone's exposed bezel?

looks like some part of the screen is impressed more from where i had airbubbles. so i guess thats where the tempered glass adhesive or whatever is pressed more into the screen. Guess its not a defect as much as me getting rid of air bubbles out.

there is no way to take those pressed marks off right?

The edge is much thicker and its supposed to be 3D and bend over the curve of the screen. But I think they were all miss-cut so that the thick edge keeps it from sitting flush on all sides.

I installed my icarez from the 2 pack. While install is hard it is easily the best full screen protector out there. I do have a little bubble or non adhesion at the smallest spot under the ear piece but it’s nothing to worry about. This is the closest protector to not knowing one is on your phone. The coating on screen seems good too. This is much much better than I blazon and better than the ones that have holes in notch and cover too much of screen. I think the only issue I could complain about is that the bezel doesn’t go far enough so if you swipe up from the bottom you will feel something. But this allows all cases to work.

good to know that the oleophobic is all good.thanks for the review.anyway you can post closeup pictures?thanks

I installed the gpel today. I ordered an Orzly too, but the gpel feels so nice and smooth I’m going to keep it. It has bubbles so I emailed them, but someone better at this probably won’t have that problem. It feels just like the original screen so I’m happy and thankful plus it fits in my Speck Presidio Grip case. Is there a plac that I can get an application frame to make this easier?
