That looks like its from JB:))...

Got one the other day and although i could have done a slightly better job with the install, the screen itself is top class.

Super smooth, responsive and no fingerprints

Take your tine with the install...
Thanks for the info. Yes it’s from JBs! I’m pretty meticulous when applying the screen guards, and will be I interested to see how helpful the new application tray they included is in the installation.

Anyone know how to tell if a defect is from a screen or screen protector?

In certain lightening and an angle i see a wave and it doesn’t distort my image when viewing things on my phone and i don’t see it when screen is on.

I’m just wondering if it’s possible the Oled screen could have a wave imprint without it showing when screen is on.

I’m assuming it’s my glass screen protector

Probably the odd ball here but I installed the Orzly based on the reviews here, used it for about two days before taking it off. Maybe it was my installation but my screen felt less responsive, I had to be a bit more deliberate when typing which I didn't like.

Other than that, it looked and felt great. I'll install the second one that came with it to see if I have a better experience.

You're not the oddball. Besides the dust collection, I just cannot stand those camera holes. It makes the notch an eyesore to me and I removed the screen protector for that reason alone.

G-Color 3D Glass Edge to Edge Curved Screen Protector w/ Apple Silicone Case. I have one stubborn piece of lint right in the middle but I hate to re-lift as it took me a couple of tries. Might order another and start fresh. No obstruction for cameras in notch either, Animoji and Portrait selfies all work fine.
Dude that looks amazing. Is there any issues with 3D Touch?

Yey got the imos 3D today!

just took off my old glass screen protector and put on the Orzly one and wow i gotta say the difference is incredible. You can't even tell it's on. The old one really bothered me around the edges and the notch was very visible. The application was pretty easy, I turned on the shower for a few mins and used the steamy room to apply it on. I did have a few bubbles at the bottom but they were gonna a few minutes after. Face ID seems to be working OK right now and don't have any issues yet. Here's a comparison of the two screen protectors.
Night and day. I paid $35 for one like in your first pics, which is so distracting from this otherwise gorgeous phone. My Orzly is coming tomorrow...

Just installed the I-Blason and there was one bubble that gave me some trouble but I got rid of it with elbow grease and patience.

Really happy with my installation! No weird camera cutouts for me:

Just an update on the Orzly, there does seem to be a gap in the adhesive above the TrueDepth bar (the one above the earpiece) that allows in dust. I noticed it after putting the phone into my pocket during the day. So over time the FaceID sensor may become hindered unless you clean it out, maybe with a piece of sticky tape or a blower?

View attachment 733873 Hi all, finally got my X Tuesday and am
loving it to death. Finally found a temptered glass screen protector by Belkin. Any opinions or advice before I apply it?

How'd it go? I picked up a 2 pack of Nuglass protectors from eBay, and while they aren't too bad, they aren't that great around the notch, and I don't really like how they are pretty much as wide as the screen. You have to be spot on fitting them (which I wasn't) or they stand out with the screen on. Was thinking of going to Apple and getting the Belkin one that they machine fit, but $45 is a bit off putting, especially after reading some of the reviews about hem chipping and cracking for no real reason (apparently).

I'd love to go without, but I found my 7+ had micro scratches on the screen after a couple of months, even though I was very careful in how I handled it. Normally they couldn't be seen, but I knew they were there, and that annoyed me.

Have yet to apply. I was planning this afternoon, however as time was running out I didn’t want to rush it. Plus I wanted to double check if anyone had added some tips or advice here!

Just wanted to share my experience with tempered glass screen protectors so far.

Initially I bought a cheap glass protector off eBay. It was thin and flimsy. The black border was not actually part of the glass protector but rather a piece of plastic glued onto the glass. There was no adhesive in the section under the notch, so dust accumulated there. Needless to say it was crap.

I decided to get the Orzly tempered glass screen protector instead. I have to say it fits perfectly and I am very happy with it so far. Here's why:
- The only cutout on it is for the earpiece at the top, which I like.
- It works perfectly with the Spigen Liquid Air case. The edges don't lift, and none of the original screen is exposed, so it truly does protect the entire glass screen.
- The black border is a part of the actual glass, and not stuck on like my last protector.
- It feels great to use.

Time will tell if lint accumulates in the earpiece hole, but for now I'm giving this protector a 9/10.

Edit: Have attached some pictures. Note that there is a small bubble in the bottom left corner, but it has been dispersing slowly in the hours since I installed it. I'm certain it will be gone by tomorrow morning
I installed mine yesterday. I’m pretty happy with it so far. Initially did not want a screen protector because without one felt sooooo good.

I did. As long as you're really careful about dust flying under there it should work fine. Very few E2E protectors don't bubble at all so expect to rub some stuff out. It's worth it though.

Which tempered glass screen protector is the best? I was looking to buy this one:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...9-399c-49e1-901a-7b8786e59436&pf_rd_i=desktop
I have that one, I don’t like it. I would say it’s more oleophilic than it is oliophobic (seems to attract oils). It is also poor quality glass for refraction and introduces some polarization effect to the device that doesn’t exist without it. If you don’t have blue shift, and want it, get that protector!

The glass is so poor that it actually introduces a bit of haze all on it’s own. The only reason I got this one was because it was shipping in time to arrive for my preorder (and did).

I ordered a replacement on Amazon that should be shipping soon, it is from Manto, and my 6 month old copy of their iPhone 7 protector has much better coatings and optics on it even after heavy use. You can hardly tell the 7 has a glass screen protector, and the Maxboost on the X is as clean as I can get it, it always has this haze.

Also really happy with the Orzly tempered glass. Installed it yesterday.
It fits the screen perfectly, had no problems during the installation (but it does take some attention and patience - 10 min maybe to get it all right, humid bathroom, etc.). I really like that it covers the entire front face, and not just the viewable area - it has a black border too so the whole glass including device's black bezels are covered.

Using a Orzly FlexiCase on it right now (pictures are without the case on) , but expecting to upgrade to the Caudabe Lucid Clear or Pitaka case - both are ordered, so just going to test and see which one I like better.

So what is considered the consensus best iPhone X tempered glass protector on MR? I prefer to buy from Amazon since I have gift card credit still. Also need a new case as well. Normally used to a slim Spigen since it is a nice fit, protects well enough, and doesn't add weight.

I won’t know unti I have had it for a few weeks, however my old screen protector on my 7 from Manto (purchased on Amazon as well) is holding up great. I like their coatings and optical quality. They also work well with 3D Touch which is important to me, since I am addicted to that UI feature.

Looks like some of the other’s posted in this thread have some great potential, I just don’t have experience with those.
