Hmm, perhaps i'm not aware of the difference. Only knew of glass & non-glass screens. The latter of which I thought were all 'film'.

A “skin” is a wet installation screen protector. What I’m talking about is a dry application crystal clear film screen protector that you peel off and stick directly to the screen and is incredibly thin and nearly invisible.

Here’s an example, these are for the iPhone 7 Plus by Tech Armor:

I really like belkin screen covers. I've used them on my previous iPhones (never used the glass screens & would like to stick to the film screen protector)

Apple has a machine install in store for those belkin screens, which is great!

Really hope these become available, but I haven't seen them on apple's site, only for the 8.....

Will keep checking this thread, hopefully people will chime in with their finds.

Have you thought about anything like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075DZ93XZ/ref=ya_st_dp_summary?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I ordered that and used similar on my phones since the 6S Plus.

I see that you don't like glass, but since you didn't say why figured I'd throw that out there.

Closest I see to what you're looking for is something like https://www.ebay.com/itm/iPhone-X-2...creen-Protector-For-New-iPhone-X/222678542160

I got a set of back ones the other day. They are generic and seem fine. I will have a better idea how they look when I get the phone though.
do you think there will be a rainbow effect with them once they are applied? i think the generic ones have that dreaded rainbow effect while the branded ones like the Spigen Crystal Clear one is invisible and so is the Tech Armor one, i wish these 2 brand name companies would make the PET Film screen protector for the iPhone X but it seems like all they care about now are glass screen protectors and they wont be making these plastic film ones any longer.

Here is the back, front, and the front in the case it came with for reference:

Coudn't say until on the phone. If they are I'll just take the front one off, and replace it with a glas one.

Thanks for the screenshots, i agree. cant tell until you actually put it on the device to see if there is a rainbow effect or not. Which glass screen protector did you buy or plan on buying?

I got these from Sparin for $1.60 via a coupon code on Slickdeals:

I got these from Caseology for free because the sent these to me instead of the case for the X. I still got the case as they shipped the correct order after I told then what they messed up on. :D:

How’s the quality of it? Is it thin or on the thicker side? I can’t stand thick glass screen protectors

I'd answer, if I knew what you considered "thick" and "thin." I've always used Spigen, so to me it's basically the same as what's currently on my 7 Plus. I can try and answer if you help me out.

Will probably get the best screen protector (iMos) for the $1000 phone.

Will you guys spend extra for Apple Care +?

should i get zagg’s $40 premium glass screen protector?

How can i compare it to others? There is definitely a lot of brands on Amazon. Most of the reviews are from people who havent even got the phone yet!!

Which brand is the most reputable??

I had heard that someone says that all glass screen protectors are the same with different packages and stuff.. can anyone confirm if its worth it to purchase zagg

Probably premature but there are several glass screen protectors on amazon for the X. I’d like to order ahead but not sure which one to go with. Has anyone here ordered one or will you and what brand?

Spigen and amFilm are good quality from past personal experience. I just purchased an amFilm one off Amazon since the Spigen is backordered.
