I am so impressed with the I-blason. It’s such a smooth premium feel. I can’t even notice there’s a screen protector. I love the curved glass on my finger tips. I ordered three more as back up especially since it’s only $8.39 right now. Who knows when their 30% off will expire. I’ve tried the orzly, and the four holes on top were hideous to me. The orzly also has very sharp edges and you can definitely feel it when swiping. I also bought the icarez too but have not used it. The quality doesn’t seem as good as the Iblason. Also, I had one tiny bubble in the middle of the screen I couldn't get rid of. My ocd was going to take over and i was going to remove the screen once my back up orders came in. Luckily I didn’t because it’s gone now. 24 hours later and the bubble disappeared by itself! I can’t praise this screen protector enough.
Came here to second this. Installed the iBlason on both X's I have and it's perfect. A couple bubbles at first but they disappeared in a few hours. Looks awesome, IMO it enhances the display.

Not sure why people would be put off by a lack of adhesive near the camera... If it gets dusty after a year, just lift it up partially, clean and set it back down. Is this really so difficult?

But it gets dirty after a day of putting the phone in my pocket. And the white lint / dust is highly visible against the black surround

Wow... That's a serious pocket lint problem you got there. Maybe screen protectors aren't for you.

I didn’t keep my phone in my pocket and kept it in a belt holster. After only one day, when I took off my G-color to remove a dust speck in the middle of the screen from the install, there was already a noticable amount of dust already collected under the notch area. So unless the notch area has an adhesive layer as well, you don’t need a serious lint problem for this to be an issue. I doubt you’ll get by a year without there being visible dust/dirt build up. Even then, no matter how soon you need to do it, partially lifting the protector to remove any collected dust isn’t a simple task. Especially if you’re OCD about the protector being aligned perfectly and without any dust. You might be able to clean it out with just a can of compressed air, without having to lift it.

Does the area above the earpiece cutout have adhesive as well?
I believe it doesn't on purpose as to not attract lint and other stuff. not sure if you can see it in the pic.

I have the zagg screen protector and I'm generally happy with it. The dimensions are such that there is a gap between the screen protector and where my Spigen case begins. Its a tad annoying tbh, but I guess it needs to be there.

Overall, its there to do a job so I'm happy with it.

Guys, has anyone successfully installed something on the back, such as ghost armour ( shocked they still exist) and had success with it not breaking with a fall? I have come from 3 years of Plus' and love the size in my pocket. A case as thin as it is, still makes this bigger and bulkier so id love to go naked. I have a tempered glass on front, but what do you use/recommend for the back? do skins really protect or is it just for looks?

Thanks

I have a bestskinsever body wrap on my X and had one on my previous 2 iPhones. I doubt it offers much as far as drop protection, but when I removed them after two years of solid use, the phone looked in mint condition without any hairline scratches or imperfections at all. It protects from scratches, but I would not count on it at all to prevent breakage from a drop.

I'm giving the i-Blason one more shot, returning the first unit and getting another one.

Right now I have on the iCarez 2-pack version and it's good? Not great? Better than any of the camera cutout versions though. I really wish there weren't so many of those...

so to be clearer you have the icarez one?you dont like it?

Wait so iCarez also has a gap in the adhesive above the earpiece?
I don't get that, it's just the ambient light sensor above the earpiece, why wouldn't they put adhesive there as well

you know on second inspection, I don't think its a gap, I think its a reflection of the sensor above the speaker. it looks a bit too symmetrical and perfect, but I can't be 100% sure.

While the TETHYS protectors have been recommended on this thread before, I must say I am really impressed with them. I was a bit skeptical when I ordered them off Amazon. I had ordered a similar product days before and they were terrible, inflicting a haze on the screen when installed.

However, the TETHYS protectors were great! Installation is a breeze with the wipes, dust stickers and plastic guide frame. Glass fits the screen perfect while not cutting off the screen edges. Great oleophobic coating. Glass is crystal clear and does not change the image or brightness of the original screen. Maintains case friendly design. For $8 bucks, you can't go wrong and you get three of them!

Anybody that has the iCarez E2E protector having trouble with the small portion of the glass above the earpiece not sticking?

My skin that covered the side as well. For now I’m waiting for my Rhinoshield mid to arrive.

So, got the iCarez last night. Excellent protector. No bubbles. Easy install. Adhesive all around even above the ear piece. It is not true edge to edge. There is about 2mm of glass edge exposed. Works great with a case as there is no lifting. If installed straight, the transition at the edge is smooth. I really like it with a minimalist clear case. You can't tell the protector is even on the phone. Surface is smooth and the oleophobic coating is the best I have seen on a protector.

I had the G-Color before. It did do full edge to edge, but there was less/no adhesive around the sensors as has been mentioned. I was able to get good adhesion after much work, but it cracked above the speaker hole even in a case after a couple of days. I attribute this to no adhesive and enough play to allow movement and cracking. They did send a replacement, but no amount of work would allow me to get total adhesion on a bottom corner.

The iCarez is a bargain for the 2 pack on Amazon.....
