The OP said the following yesterday.

"Just got my X a few hours ago and I have to say that it's incredible. By far the best phone ever made, I'm astonished on just how great the iPhone X is. It's a phone worthy of Steve Jobs, if Steve were here today he would be proud. GOOD JOB Apple, you have done it again!"

Ya, that was before it got dark out.. Funny how a device can go from the best thing ever to fundamentally flawed overnight. I'll bet OP is afraid of the dark..
My space grey phone in a black case disappears at night completely. I thought that was the DND feature. Huh..

Excellent detective work! I've contacted Hannity, and the story will be breaking Monday night. It seems that Bernie wanted Space Grey changed, but the DNC, being controlled by HRC paid to have the story buried. And if you think I am kidding, just look into the Apple executives. 99% liberals.

Best post of the day. And the responses are hilarious. Good job everyone for putting more smiles to the world.

He has a minor point. I feel around in the dark for the sleep button when I grab my 6 to know which end is up. X won't have that. (I avoid laying it face down). Don't have my X yet, I didn't know you can tap screen and something happens onscreen before the face reader.

I find this kind of ridiculous. When you pick up your phone, you do it from the sides and it’s easy to feel which side is which by the volume and power buttons.

I shouldn't need to feel around for a camera bump to orient my phone. This was something simple to do with all previous 9 iPhones, now it's a big step back. I do feel this is a fundamental design flaw and I will be exchanging my space grey for a white phone or returning it altogether.

I seriously don’t get your point. The power button, volume buttons, camera bump are in distinct places.

I don’t find it a problem to be honest. Two buttons and a switch on the top left, one button on the top right. That’s enough for me to find it’s orientation.

This is a DISASTER for usability and I frankly can't believe Apple released the space grey version of this phone. Apple probably knows about this flaw, that's why they gave our white phones to reviewers during this cycle.

It's less of a problem if you use a case, but you shouldn't need to use a case to make your phone not terrible.

With tap to wake you just use that and you can see which way the phone is facing... Not sure how this is a 'disaster for usability' tbqh. I have the silver one but this is one of the sillier issues to complain about imo.

The post is a classic 'made-u-look' joke.

It's got everyone looking at their phones like idiots "Golly, I can find the front!"

Not bad kid.

If you never leave it laying face down then you have narrowed your odds significantly. When you pick it up and the power is on the right side, you are in business.

As for OP. Turn the lights on. Or use raise to wake. Or common sense.

If you have a space grey iPhone X, try this test at home. Turn off the lights, fumble around with your phone so you lose track of its orientation, then try to turn it on.

PROBLEM: You have no idea which side is front or back, which way is up or down. There is no home button to orient the phone. You have a 75% chance of getting it wrong on the space grey. So here is what happens:

25% chance - You guessed right, good job.

25% chance - Screen turns on but upside down, flip it over. Ok, not so bad.

25% chance - You're staring at the back of a phone, oops. After a while flip it over, you're oriented correctly now.

25% chance - You're staring at the back of a phone, oops. After a while flip it over, now it's upside down! So rotate again. It's not your lucky day.

Return it and get an android. Apparently it’s to complicated.
