Q: "Did you know that if you spell God backwards, you get Dog?"If you have a space grey iPhone X, try this test at home. Turn off the lights, fumble around with your phone so you lose track of its orientation, then try to turn it on.
Maybe a glow-in-the-dark case?
Lol welcome to the world of Apple TV 4 users. The remote will always be upside down.
Though I was kind of joking, we _do_ actually have a glow-in-the-dark case on on of our ATV remotes (it’s helpful for location and orientation) 🙂

We can’t, it’s dark and we might post our responses upside down.Get a grip man

PROBLEM: You have no idea which side is front or back, which way is up or down. There is no home button to orient the phone. You have a 75% chance of getting it wrong on the space grey. So here is what happens:
25% chance - You guessed right, good job.
25% chance - Screen turns on but upside down, flip it over. Ok, not so bad.
25% chance - You're staring at the back of a phone, oops. After a while flip it over, you're oriented correctly now.
25% chance - You're staring at the back of a phone, oops. After a while flip it over, now it's upside down! So rotate again. It's not your lucky day.
This is a DISASTER for usability and I frankly can't believe Apple released the space grey version of this phone. Apple probably knows about this flaw, that's why they gave our white phones to reviewers during this cycle.
It's less of a problem if you use a case, but you shouldn't need to use a case to make your phone not terrible.

Very so right, you can feel the speaker grill in center of Notch.......who knew? You can feel the camera bulge.
You can feel the notch.
This is a non-issue.
But consider, in morning when sun comes up it gets better again.😵Ya, that was before it got dark out.. Funny how a device can go from the best thing ever to fundamentally flawed overnight. I'll bet OP is afraid of the dark..
My space grey phone in a black case disappears at night completely. I thought that was the DND feature. Huh..
You’re joking right? I tried enjoying the new president, then he started to tweet.😕What has the world come to... can’t people just enjoy something...
Dah....yeah when you tap the back nothing happens so you know to turn it over. Apple thought of that.😛He has a minor point. I feel around in the dark for the sleep button when I grab my 6 to know which end is up. X won't have that. (I avoid laying it face down). Don't have my X yet, I didn't know you can tap screen and something happens onscreen before the face reader.
Stop trying to ruin a ridiculous post with logic.I find this kind of ridiculous. When you pick up your phone, you do it from the sides and it’s easy to feel which side is which by the volume and power buttons.
Don’t have to, when he picks up phone it lights up. The bright side is the front. Easy peezyTurn on a frikkin light!
I don’t ever since it turns on when I pick it up. Modern technology to the rescue. You shouldnt need to feel around for a home button to orient your phone.
Gonna start eBay business selling home button stickers you can paste onto iPhone X. Will be big money maker.Nut you'll feel around for a home button?

You had the solution yesterday and kept it to yourself till now. That’s so selfish.Took me literally 5 mins yesterday to discover this problem and find a work around. Grab from pocket. Feel for buttons. Boom.
Jeez if this is the biggest issue in my life right now, I’m the luckiest guy on earth.
And to think you are a 48 year old mother of eight.......sad.Crack its a helluva drug. ....... ....just look at my picture

A: "So don't spell it backwards."
One a mythical creature invented by man, other a creature that adores humans is is their best friend.
Hey, i’m selling those stickers. $2bucks a popLol. Might have to put a sticker where the home button used to be 😉
How about feeling for the large button on the upper right side?I shouldn't need to feel around for a camera bump to orient my phone. This was something simple to do with all previous 9 iPhones, now it's a big step back. I do feel this is a fundamental design flaw and I will be exchanging my space grey for a white phone or returning it altogether.
LMFAOOP just wants to start another reassurance thread after realizing the silver X is the uglier of two once he saw videos like this -
Silver X is whack, dude. The better two-tone is the panda Pixel 2 XL because the upper rear is black. If all white, then it's weird. I wanted the silver X badly only to realize it's not as sleek and seamless as the space gray in person.
With silvery off-white rear, it makes the X look very inconsistent and the metal edges shows scratches and fingerprints easier like the old iPod days. Space gray X on Verizon is the best variant, period.
