Well, only 2 color choices are offered. Why not just flip a coin? I tend to agree with what you said about the case. I know someone who didn't particularly like the color of the iPhone (bought what was available at the time) so they chose a case with a color they liked. Hmm, so I can have that red phone after all . . .

took your advice on the coin flip. now my color has changed to black 64gb.

I really wanna try caseless a lot and Silver seems slicker for that imo

This is nice but something has changed in me and this does nothing for me. Looks empty.

The Space Grey just doesn’t have the hot look that Matte/Jet Black and past Space Greys had imo. But that poll has my self confidence in my decision shook.

I’m definitely going with silver 256. Took me a month to decide, and will match nicely with my SS series 3.

Ordered both the Silver and the Space Gray. Still thinking I’ll keep the Silver but going to decide once I can see them in person. Happy pre-order day everyone!!

These pics actually helped me decide on silver. I wish the space grey had a silver band. The silver band just adds something.

The main problem I have with the silver is the camera. It’s already pretty awkward looking and the shiny trim and white back just bring it out more for me. SG hides it way better IMO. I also have a matte black 7+ and regretted not going for the SB, which the SG X reminds me of, so SG it was for me. The silver is cool too though.

This morning I ordered both the Silver and Space Gray in 64GB.
No need for more local storage, I have 1To Google Drive, Google Photos, Apple Music, Netflix & a good LTE coverage with a 50GB data contract.
Plus I absolutely feel the need to have my entire media securely stored on a cloud service, so no need to have duplicates locally.

I will peacefully walk in my local Apple Store next Friday to pick up the iPhones, then take some time to decide which colour I prefer, then walk again to the Apple Store and get a refund on the other one.

Best purchase experience ever.

is it even space gray? just looks black. wish it was the early space gray color or slate!

My take on it is the glass reflects to the point it appears darker than it actually is though it does look darker than earlier versions of SG. Almost how the silver phone looks somewhat white in videos.

Wow, I'm quite surprised at how narrow the margins are. I actually dislike the white/silver because it reminds me of a generic Samsung phone, which is ironic because all my past iPhones have been white, or had a white bezel.

The 256gb version with AC+ will cost me over 2000 CAD, i'll settle for the 64gb with AC+, it's 1800 CAD, but it's at least $200 cheaper
But dont you think you are paying too much and ylu dont even get to use 60gb storage. Just doeznt make sense if you plan on keeping your phone for a long time.

Unless you plan on spending another 1800 CAD next year, then too it's too much.

256gb model is better even at higher price, at least you don't have to worry about running out of storage.

Phones run slow when storage is nearly over.

So much talk and rant about iPhone X being so expensive. Today at launch day many jump in to order and all got sold out.

Not sure if people who ordered the phones really can afford the phones or not but the fact that Apple sold out the phones shows that people will buy anything Apple sells even if the phones have defects like faceid issues and the notch.

Colour make no different for me I will put the phone in an apple leather case :) I like silver but end up a space grey and if they release 128GB will work for me 64 is too little for my usage.

Is it better to buy (on internet free credit card) or buy on Apple upgrade programme?

I am assuming you wont bother taking high quality photos and videos.
64gb was a big thing when the iPhone 5s or iPhone 6 released. 4 years later It is now the entry model.

All the HQ photos/videos you will take (and with the X a LOT will be taken for sure :D) could also be stored online for security reason.

If I ever lose my phone, I would absolutely HATE to also lose my photos/videos/documents.

If you have a decent data plan (50Go/month here), a good LTE coverage and something like a 1To Google Drive subscription, storing media locally doesn't make any sense.

So is having 256GB of local storage.

There are no FaceID issues that I’m aware of (the thing that happened during the keynote wasn’t a flaw, it was the phone requiring a pw because it had failed to unlock multiple times while it was being handled by assistants during the setup. In other words, it was behaving exactly as it should).

The notch is such a non-issue, really. By default video will play in its native format perspective which will have it completely unobstructed by the notch — the only time it gets in the way is if you choose to fill the screen with the video.

My 256GB Silver X is arriving on 11/3 and I’m super pumped.

Does anyone know if you can swap out a 64GB model for 256GB (stock permitting) when going into the store to set up iUP?

It's okay, I currently use 14GB out of my 64GB iphone 6 xD
