Damn! That is just a little too much in my opinion. I know it’s your money but you could have used the funds to help someone in need.

Probably sell it once the silver one comes. As a mobile developer I buy multiple phones per year..

And I said, when I get the silver one in Dec I would probably sell my black one I get this Friday. I wasn't going to cancel my order and miss playing with my first ever iPhone on launch day and wait until Dec for my silver one to come. (I'm an Android guy but the iPhone X is the first time I have ever wanted an iPhone, it's the first time I've ever been excited about an iPhone, and it's the first time ever I stayed up until 3AM to order ANY phone) Also, as you said, it's my money so with all due respect, I really don't need to explain my reasoning to you or justify my purchase habits. I don't need someone telling me what I could have/should have used the funds on instead. You spend the money you make however the hell you want to and I'll spend mine however the hell I want. It's not my place to judge you for what you spend your money on and I really don't care what you spend your money on as its none of my business, nor is it my place to say anything to you about it. So yeah, You really do not have any right to tell me what I should have spent my money on instead.

Your initial post just intrigued me and the way you wrote it make it seem like you had buyer’s remores pre-ordering the wrong colour, then ordered the other one for a later date to fix the situation. Just basing my response on that and that’s all. Sorry if I upset you.

Picking up or receiving the phone on launch day can be a good thing or bad.
Good mainly because of the excitement of using the phone on day 1 but that also you can walk into the store and use it.
Bad because problems will be found like all iPhone new phones and we have to wait for updates and fixes. Moreover, the best screen protector and 3rd party cases will not all be out on launch day. So we have to spend double the amount on accessories.
I remember when I got the iPhone 6 Plus on launch day and there was no good glass protector out at that time so I had to use a plastic screen protector which was not that cheap due to the brand and then spend again for the glass protector. Same happened for the case.
It's is always beat to wait for a 1 week or so to get everything planned out. Just my thought.
This time we can wait and see how people use the phones and how easily they get scratches so we can take precautions.

Agreed, though Vodafone have a pretty decent 3D thing of both options you can play with here (click the magnifying glass).

Lol. 64gb is just too little for a flagship phone with 4K recording capability. 64gb was big 3 years ago but today 128gb should be standard. Especially for phone which costs $1100.
Remember just two years ago the base storage was 16GB with iPhone 6s. SO 64 is pretty good considering how the prices have risen. 64GB is more than enough for me, thanks to iCloud Photo Library.
Miss Matte Black but Space Grey is the next best. Chances are the silver's gonna get old while the blacks gonna stay sleek. It also seems to do a better job "slimming" the bezels on darker backgrounds.

After watching all the recent iPhone X videos, I'm pretty pumped about the silver. I think it looks soooo classy and I like having the contrast between the screen and silver band. Plus that pearly white glass on the back is just awesome. Still worried about the scratches on the steel band, but since nobody has really complained about it from the reviews it may be holding up better than the Apple Watch.
Sorry to burst your bubble but it has already been mentioned that the silver band has been collecting minute scratches already as expected:

Have had white since iPhone 4, have gone to SG for the X. Both look great, don’t think there’s a wrong decision.

I did order a silver one but that wont be here until the end of Nov early Dec.. my SG will be here Friday
I was gonna get the silver myself but I thought of my old 3GS which I liked except for that darn stainless steel frame. That thing was a scratch magnet. It's beautiful to look at but it's not worth the compromise for me.
