I think he meant the Silver looks the opposite of cheap; not that the Space Grey looks cheap?
I got that..I’m just teasing him hehe...

Actually that's a somewhat true statement (exception being the retail store blocks it to promote their own payment app). Samsung Pay uses MST (magnetic strip transmission), so it sends out a magnetic strip code (of a virtual card of your credit card) when you place it over the area where you swipe your card. You can still use NFC if a terminal supports that. The only places it's not possible are where you have to insert the card in and out (like a gas station).
You are right. Sorry for my bad English.I think he meant the Silver looks the opposite of cheap; not that the Space Grey looks cheap?
Ordered iPhone X Space Grey 256GB (was planning on Silver but changed my mind last minute), pick up this Friday
I'm going to be in the same boat. I have two waiting for me for pickup. I think the silver is very unique, but I also owned the Jet Black 7 which I thought was the best color Apple released (I returned it for the Matte Black since the Jet Black scratched when you breathed on it). It's the first time I can remember (I've had all iPhones since the first) that I've struggled over two colors! My gut says the silver will have the initial wow factor but the SG will have the longterm appeal. They're both just really beautifully designed pieces of hardware that border on jewelry. So I have both the silver and SG sitting in front of me and I still cannot decide....argh
And even though I wouldn't buy a phone to match my Apple Watch, I did start out with the SS watch and switched to SB just because of the silver vs black trim.I'm going to be in the same boat. I just unboxed both. Intended on keeping the Space Gray. Switching to Silver. It's some seriously beautiful hardware. Possibly the best looking product Apple has released since the first iPhone. Pictures don't do it justice.Keep both![]()
Yeah, I unboxed both - Space Gray first. That's a really great looking phone - I don't think anyone would be disappointed. But... then you see the Silver iPhone X and it's some next level design. The color contrast is spot on between the front, sides and back. And I don't like chrome/silver usually or anything that might be too 'blingy.' This doesn't look cheap or blingy as others have commented. I had almost the same reaction as when I saw the first iPhone. It's really that good.I already said this but silver looks WAY better in the wild than in that in store lighting imo

I'm glad to hear that. I have a silver X at home waiting to be opened, but I decided to check the colors out first hand at the Apple Store in case I wanted to swap. The silver back did have a cold grey feel to it that I wasn't thrilled about. But I figured it was due to the lighting since the white 8s had the same feel. So I'm glad to hear the silver back takes on a more pleasant color in everyday lighting conditions. I think I'm going to stick to my Silver X... But that SG model was tempting for a moment.
