Seems like carrier models are starting to slip, but sim-free models are all showeimg September 21st delivery. Weird. They’re all supposed to be the exact same phone.

Apple is now accepting pre-orders for the new iPhone XS and XS Max models through its online storefront and through the Apple Store app.
Available in 5.8 and 6.5-inch screen sizes, the iPhone XS and XS Max feature super sharp edge-to-edge OLED displays with support for Dolby Vision, HDR 10, and Wide Color.
Design wise, the new smartphones look like the iPhone X with stainless steel frames and glass bodies, but there's a new gold color option, improved IP68 waterproofing, and the internals have been upgraded. The new iPhones are equipped with the A12, which is faster and more efficient than the A11.
Face ID unlocking is faster than before, and the dual-lens camera system has been upgraded with a bigger sensor for sharper, crisper photos in low light, plus there's a new Smart HDR feature that brings out more detail in images and a new Depth Control option that allows for adjustable depth of field.
Pre-orders are available in first wave launch countries including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Japan, Jersey, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the UAE, UK, US and US Virgin Islands.
All of the major U.S. carriers -- Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile -- are accepting pre-orders for the new devices, as are many other carriers around the world. Major online retailers including Best Buy and Target are also accepting pre-orders starting today.
Pricing on the iPhone XS begins at $999 for 64GB of storage, with 256GB of storage priced at $1149 and 512GB of storage priced at $1349. iPhone Upgrade Program customers will be able to get the iPhone XS starting at $49.91 per month.
Pricing on the iPhone XS Max begins at $1099 for 64GB of storage, with 256GB of storage priced at $1249 and 512GB of storage priced at $1449. iPhone Upgrade Customers will be able to purchase the iPhone XS Max starting at $54.08 per month.
In the United States, customers can purchase iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max models from any of the four major carriers using Apple's site, or choose a SIM-free version. That SIM-free models are available suggests supplies are plentiful, but it's still always a good idea to place orders early.
Customers who successfully place an order for launch day delivery can expect to begin receiving their devices starting on Friday, September 21, the official launch date for the iPhone XS and XS Max.

well, at first tried to pre-order on Verizon, but it would not process. XS Max 256GB Space Gray. Then went to Apple Store after they finally went live almost 10 mins late here SC, USA...and placed my order with EASE there. No hick-up whatsoever at 3:20am!! Nice. XCITED.
Upgrading from 6S Plus 64GB Space Gray, which has been a great device. The optical image stabilizer in the camera is shot, so I get a jittering image no stop, can't take a decent photo or video. This "nudged" me forward lol. My upgrade cycle is about 2 - 2.5 years anyway

Got my gold 512 go XS-MAX SIM FREE with 9/21 delivery date. Awesome and fast order process. The site was down 3-4 minutes but it was okay. Yippee.

Finished my first order for an XS Max 256 ATT Space Grey at 12:13am (that is my conf. email). Shows 2-3 weeks! Lame. Also got an Apple Watch GPS 44mm at the same time and that says 3-4 weeks! Ugh.
After that, I ordered a 256 ATT Gold XS Max for my wife and she gets launch day?! Bummer (12:16am). Good for her.

Done at 3:10 EDT, my iPhone XS Max on Apple upgrade with preapproved Pre-order , my 42...I mean 44 mm gold LTE watch, my dads outright XS purchase, my girlfriends gold XS typing everything in manual for her iPhone upgrade program....still have always had an iPhone, launch day, no waiting in line! 9 years in a row! Gigabit Ethernet helps too....
I have 4 devices ordered within <3 minutes. Fastest and smoothest process thus far. I am still waiting on my wife's phone though for email confirmation on her iPhone. Mine came in 15 minutes later.

No need. By the time the phone ships and they recalculate if I need to pay it, I won’t. Should be good to go.

Mine took a while to get the confirmation email. Got it about 20 minutes after ordering.
I ordered mine at 12:03 and just got the email almost 25 min later. Not sure if it’s because I used the upgrade program or not but it still shows ships on the 21st.

I had a complication with logging into my att account so I tried Apple.com. Apple.com worked fast and smooth.
I noticed that Space grey 512GB got backlogged first it seams. Gold was still available for next Friday till recently.

Quickest order process this year with the IUP. Got my email confirmation but it shows a $30.00 AT&T Upgrade Fee. WTF?!? This was not stated anywhere prior. Should’ve chose the SIM-free version.
I ordered at 3:05 but didn’t get the confirmation email until 3:25. iPhone xs space grey 256gb.
Just pre-ordered the Xs, but I'm so pissed I sold my iPhone X to early. If I knew the Xs was such a minor upgrade I would have kept my X.
Absolutely not worth upgrading to the Xs, unless you live in a cheap country like US where everything is utterly cheap!
