iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max Now Available for Pre-Order

The Apple Store app still shows 21st for all the XS Max’s...
 
Im stunned, guys. I managed to get four preorders (two x iPhone XS Silver, ATT, 256GB, one x iPhone XS Max Space Gray, ATT, 256GB, all three in the upgrade program, plus a Series 4 watch, 40mm, GPS+LTE, Space Gray for mom) through, all four with day one delivery. I did screw up mom's phone, it was supposed to be SG, not Silver. Oops. But this is the first time that I didn't get utterly hosed at store open, or by the upgrade program. Major props to the Store Ops team for keeping it from falling apart.

Order was a breeze this year. Very smooth. The store came up at 12:02 and I had my order placed within 15 seconds! Also got a SS AW 40mm. Ship times slipped really quick this year, though.

Oh, in case you are curious, I got the iPhone XS in gold, 512GB, and the stainless watch, 44mm, with GPS and cellular, with Milanese loop band. I actually broke a VERY long tradition of black/gray phones. I've had every iPhone since the 3GS and I always went with the darkest color. I can't believe I ordered gold! And this will be my first watch in the larger size - I've had every version in the smaller size. My daughter is going to inherit a lot of bands...

I’ve had a similar situation with Apple before. When they go to charge the card for real it may go through because you approved it. If it gets declined Apple will contact you (by email I believe) and you’ll have a chance to retry the charge. I called Apple after I got the email and had them on the phone while they attempted the charge so I could approve it.
 
Ugg... I ordered via the App and paid with ApplePay. Afterwards I realized that my billing address was wrong. I moved a few months ago and I forgot to change my info within ApplePay on my phone.

Is this something where I can call Apple when they open and make the change without affecting my order? (Especially the shipping date?)
 
Did preapproval the other day for myself and my wife. Got on the app at 3:01 on my phone, also tried to get on my iPad so I could do two simultaneous orders. iPhone took me write to preorder while iPad kept showing store still down. Completed both orders on phone in less than 5 minutes while iPad still showed store down for that entire time.

Shipping sept 21.

I ordered the iPhone Excess (standard) in Space Gray 256GB. I chose in-store pickup and, 20 minutes later, now I see the store I chose is already sold out for in-store pickup of both the 256GB and 512GB models on Verizon and AT&T (they still have Sprint and T-Mobile available).

I didn't purchase AppleCare, I have until Friday to make that decision. The local Apple Store honors my employee purchase plan price ($179 instead of $199) so I don't lose anything but making the decision within the next week.

It's been 4 years since I purchased a new iPhone. It will be nice to actually pick one up at an Apple Store and get the new phone vibe on release day.

Looks like for the XS Max, the space Gray 512gb slipped.

You paid in full. The phone is unlocked.

You choose an att sim version. It ships with the sim. You get charged $30 when it activates. It doesn’t matter that you have a prepaid account. It will show up on the next billing cycle.

Yes. I’ve done this before with the first Apple Watch.

Sorry to hear that. It's now 3:45 am EST and I still can't complete the order process on Verizon's site. I'm seriously thinking of changing carriers over this.
 
It took me 30 minutes but it says ordered but I refreshed before I could grab the order number and my husband is asleep! He would have the email if it’s there. Should I be worried? Will it still come by the 21st?

I wanted the sim free version. Wow I messed up
 
Just ordered XS max 256 space grey on Verizon website. 9/21. Easy. Thought about 512 for a min but that’s just a waste for me since I wouldn’t use it.

I managed to get in store pickup and launch day delivery for Apple Watch and iPhone Max. Im returning one of the Maxes. I made a mistake. Itll force me to save 1250 extra bucks for a few weeks.
